ISO Containers
50 items
Description
An ISO container is a large standardized shipping container, designed and built for intermodal freight transport, meaning these containers can be used across different modes of transport – from ship to rail to truck – without unloading and reloading their cargo. Intermodal containers are primarily used to store and transport materials and products efficiently and securely in the global containerized intermodal freight transport system, but smaller numbers are in regional use as well. These containers are known under a number of names, such as simply container, cargo or freight container, ISO container, shipping, sea or ocean container, container van or (Conex) box, sea can or c can.

24G1 is ISO Code for a 20 foot long x 9 foot high dry cargo container.

Hi! I published a standard for shipping containers with my friends. It will be great if you make creations with this standard in mind. Follow the link to find that we have already made several trailers for their transportation.

oh, whats with using solar panels or connecting them with electric ports, they also connect to each other and so they could get electricity from the ship too, without needing a battery... ?

@Tanklad02 I hadn't planned on it, as there are likely better ones in the Workshop, but I may in the future

Thx for telling me that

Hey Mario-B92, the containers are meant to be for being spawned via missions. There's no way in Stormworks to make advanced containers with connectors without them needing electricity, which needs a battery, which runs out of juice.
Mario-B92 (AT) 13 Mar, 2019 @ 3:29pm
I cant use them on containerships, because the connectors doesnt have electricity or however its spelled, so it doesnt attach to other container's, or to the ships mag's :steamsad:

Nice build and design, also need 40 ft version^^
