MAZ-541 Big Bud II / Moon Tractor

Description
Hey! Thanks for checking this out.

I call this done!

The two awesome scripts are from the legendary Wanderer_308!
DAS: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1089115113
The other script was posted in the discussion forum for the DAS, it has no own page (I think)

Attention - the script has beed adapted to the specific needs of the vehicle!

Why is it called "MAZ-541"? Well, the MAZ stands for "Mächtige Allgelände-Zugmaschine (Mighty All-Terrain Tractor). And the "541" stands for:
5 - 5x5 size wheels
4 - 4x4 axle configuration
1 - sequence number

Glad it's not just me & I'm not just imagining it!
I see the script does modify how friction works but I was having the problems with my trucks without any scripts, so definitely something isn't right vanilla-side.

At least wheels don't constantly pull left any more though. Only took 4 years to get that fixed! Hehe!
Thanks for the link! When the bugs are fixed with the game I may well get into using that.

yeah, I noticed too that lately there's something a bit wrong with the wheels ... it seems to work mostly fine if you don't set low speed limits, though.

I've posted the scripts in the description!

I love it! Haven't tried it with an artic trailer yet but just had both the little ones on the back & it looks right at home!
Reversing up ramps is proving tricky, though I think there's a bug with the friction setting for wheels right now - I've had the same issue with several of my trucks since the update - one minute they're gripping too much & get all twitchy on full lock, the next minute they can't seem to grip at all & just slide everywhere. Can't make out what's happening to cause it.

Could you post links to the scripts by the way?

that's very cool.
By the way, that little green tractor (the 541) now can attach your small trailers as well as semitrailers - it's just a bit strange to drive yet :D

Cool! I hope you enjoy them!
Yeah I'll grab you some screenies. Heading into the game in a minute. Will drop you a link when they're posted. I'll probably add them to my "Trucking Hell" page as well - would be good to show that thing alongside your trucks!

I'd love that! today or tomorrow I'll take me some time to look at your vehicles, haven't had much time for more than a sneak peek yet.

can you take some Screenshots of my vehicles in your worlds? that'd make me pretty proud hehe

Thanks very much! I like that our small-grid builds are on the same scale. With a bit of tweaking on one end or the other, some of our stuff would probably be compatible. Glad my builds can give you some inspiration anyhow. I'm using yours as well, both in my survival worlds and for ideas. :steamhappy:

cptsavarus, I just took a peek at your stuff. dude, that's on another level. I'll be using a lot of your vehicles as-is or as inspiration!

hey cptsavarus, thanks for the comment! it's not yet finished, and "first gear" has issues (SET_SPEED1, it's the lowest speed preset - "1"at the" strg+1" toolbar) - both scripts are written by Wanderer_308, and they are absolutely awesome!

still to be done on this one:
- fifth wheel / trailer coupling
- warning lights (orange flashy ones)
- configuring the hotkey commands
- wheel wells/mudguards
- and maybe some other stuff

check back here from time to time, I'll update and finish that vehicle next week!

Nice! Can already think of some uses for this!
Have you built any implements to tow behind it?
Love your trucks. Great work!
