Duna Manned Science Rover (With Rocket)

The Duna Manned Science Rover is a 4 crew exploration vehicle. With 8 rugged wheels, science lab and small ore mining and refining plant.

1st stage with boosters should get you suborbital at 100-150 km, 2nd stage will let you circularise and start your burn to Duna or your target. There is enough fuel to reach Duna ASAP wherever on it's orbit. When you get in Duna's gravity capture burn the rest of your fuel except in rover. Aim to finish with a surface interception of 20 km. Deploy heat shield and then jettison it when it is safe to deploy drogue shoots. Once it is safe to deploy main shoots you can cut the drogue shoots and deploy them. Just before touchdown burn rover thrusters for a soft landing.

When mining remember to turn on fuel cell and radiators.

110 Km/h (30 m/s)

Would recommend not going over 10 m/s on rough terrain.
