Description
Era - 1980s / Early 2000s - AWA/WWF/WCW

Son of Larry "The Axe" Hennig, Curt "Mr. Perfect" Hennig had all the makings of a great champion, elite athleticism, charisma, legit wrestling skills and natural speaking ability. While he never reached the heights of the WWF or WCW, Mr. Perfect was still one of the most accomplished wrestlers of his era.

Starting in his father's home fed, the AWA, Hennig became the AWA Heavyweight champion in 1988, before leaving for the WWF. Upon joining, Hennig demonstrated his athleticism in a series of promos well remembered to this day, making no-look long range shots on the basketball court, catching his own passes on the gridiron among other exaggurated feats, gaining the title of Mr. Perfect in the process. Hennig challenged unsuccessfuly for Hulk Hogan's WWF title, but did manage to win the Intercontinental belt and had a run on commentary.

By 1997, Hennig jumped ship to WCW, joining the Four Horsemen before slamming the cage door into the head of Ric Flair and joining the New World Order. After the nWo split, Hennig teamed up with fellow former Horseman, Barry Windham, eventually gaining Kendall Windham and Bobby Duncum Jr. to become the West Texas Rednecks, a faction that wanted to proclaim that "Rap is Crap" and even issued a radio single during their run.

In 2002, Hennig made a surprise return to the WWF, with a strong showing in the Royal Rumble and put on competitive matches with many of the top wrestlers in the company.
