[Obsolete] The 'Rhino' Medium Cargo Locomotive (230+km/h) (retired)

Description

This 4-engine locomotive is designed for hauling medium size cargo trains over medium and large distances. With power of 300KW (4 steam engines) it is capable of hauling 220 tonnes of cargo at 30km/h. When empty it can exceed 230km/h, which makes it also a convenient solution for towing fast passenger trains. In this it is a perfect replacement for an outdated 'Trout' model.

Because of its length and the drive unit construction this locomotive requires an adequate fast railway. Its guide bogie mounts will not allow it to pass the track of the curvature greater than 15deg/10m. Operating it on higher curvature poses a risk of tearing a guide bogie off. Also on the curves its front/rear may veer significantly off the track, thus the tunnels (when curvy) should have appropriate width. It is recommend to test the track by passing on lower speed first before unleashing full power of the engines.

Operating tips:
- The engines can be turned on/off from the cabin and through the slits in its hull.
- Also the control valves can be accessed the same way (positions marked on the illustration).
- One does not need to see the valve through the slits, the plank hull does not block the access to them.
- To refuel one can access the engine inventories pointing near the valves.
- For hauling heavier trains one should fill the ballast chests located in the center of the hull. They can be accessed from the outside via rectangular openings in the central part of the hull.
- As we still have not come with the good solution for an effective brake, the only way to stop the train is to throttle the reverse. One should be aware though, that going to full reverse takes a couple of seconds.
- The wheels should be periodically checked for damage and repaired if necessary. The necessary access is provided through the triangular openings in the hull.

This construct would never happen (be committed) without the dedication of the mod authors, especially Equinox, Peaceman, Wolfgar7474, C3nthon and Stori3d. Many, many thanks to all of them.

@Lordm00m00 , because that label is assigned automatically by the system and it is apparently assigned incorrectly. I have o control over this particular tag.
