Description
Wonderful Winnipeg...a strange place. One where all of your assumptions are turned upside down daily. Colder than Mars and hotter than Hell. A place that exists outside of the norm. Welcome to your first day on the job, Your Worship, Mayor [INSERT NAME HERE]. Planning and Property Development has updated and function-tested your canvas. It is up to you to create a (dys)functioning city.

This map includes pretty much everything you might want when you're starting based off a real world city. Every road has been hand-laid based on a high res 17.28sqkm map image of the city. I have taken painstaking efforts to name roads correctly, accurately name and outline neighbourhood borders, and place traffic lights in real-life accurate spots. Some key intersections have lane management set up, and most speed limits are accurate. However, realism and accuracy are an ongoing journey, so keep an eye out for future updates that refine the above-noted elements, update key pieces of infrastructure (such as Transit routes/infrastructure) and add real-life accurate traffic management.

This map is huge and the limits have been nearly reached. You can activate zoneable blocks in some spots and there is space to lay more roads at your discretion, but keep an eye on your limits.

Enjoy!!!!

Still loving this map! Would love if you would update it with some of the new mods that replaced the ones you created it with if possible: When I load with modern mods I get no trees!

I LOVE YOUR INTRO!!!
funny thing....
when the traffic in my city gets as bad as winnipeg's, I unleash all the disasters, and start a new one........

Thank you for this. But are the Snowfall and Mass Transit DLC really required for this? I only have After Dark :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

I found this game a few weeks ago, i thought it might be a fun city building game :0 i was bored with WoW, retired older guy, Originally from England, live out by Richer Area, Retired so i got time on my hands.I managed to get the map to load using loading mod Recovery from Sim errors in the Loading screen mod, works great.. a few roads are broken, Pembina and Hwy1 "Broadway," but i can fix that. Now playing with OSM to try get the roads back to normal... this Game is soo intense, Especially after utubing the Modders... and getting the Default mods .. move it Ect, awesum... Thinking about deleting the trees and giving it an Autumn look. I HOPE YOU DON'T MIND, I love the fall look in Canada and i live on 5 Acres of Trees, for now i only have Disasters DLC, If you have any footage of how your build is going i would love to see it.
All the Best, and thank you for a Fantastic Map.

This map contains a workshop mod that seems to no longer exist, resulting in a Simulation Failure when loading it. I managed to get around it by using the "Try to recover from simulation errors on next load" feature in Loading Screen Mod [TEST].
I'm glad I got it to work, because this is very, very well made.

Hey, interested to know how you got that road map to layer properly. Where you got it and how did you manage to adjust it well to the terrain. I've been working on and off a rendering of Quebec City but any help would be great. Thanks for the great work. Cheers!

I don't usually go in for these types of builds and there are a lot of dependencies, but you put in so much painstaking work, I have to give it a try and see what I can build without disturbing a single road! Thanks for offering it to the community!
