DEPRECATED
I'm no longer maintaining this mod and likely won't even respond to comments here. The execution of this mod is flawed and I don't even like the idea anymore. Totally abandoning it.






DESCRIPTION
Proselytizers, Translators, and Debaters are now specialist apostles. Those promotions are no longer available to standard apostles. The only way to get these promotions are to specifically train the specialists.

Also the Mahabodhi Temple creates a Proselytizer unit instead of two apostles.

Proselytizer
Cost: 500 Faith (and increments by 500 after each purchase)
Requires: Level 3 Holy Site Building (Cathedral, Wat, etc.)
Spreads: 1
Religious spread eliminates 75% of existing pressure from other Religions in the target city.

Translator
Cost: 250 Faith (and increments by 250 after each purchase)
Requires: Level 3 Holy Site Building (Cathedral, Wat, etc.)
Spreads: 3
Religious spread is triple strength in cities of other civilizations.

Debater
Cost: 250 Faith (and increments by 250 after each purchase)
Requires: Level 3 Holy Site Building (Cathedral, Wat, etc.)
Spreads: 3
+20 Religious Strength in Theological Combat.

Heathen Converter
Cost: 400 Faith (and increments by 400 after each purchase)
Requires: Level 3 Holy Site Building (Cathedral, Wat, etc.)
Spreads: 3
Can convert all adjacent Barbarians to your side by using a religious charge.

Note
I currently don't play with this, it appears to be bugged in multiplayer.

Just a quick note to say that this mod is now deprecated but the idea lives on as a Game Option in DB's Civ VI Gold .

Nice mod, but the pricing is not the best and I think you could change the heathen converter to be able to convert another civ's unit (not every adjacent one, just one unit per charge). This may seem a little unbalanced, but it can be countered with your own converters than can regain the unit to your side. This should also use up all charges, as otherwise it would be really OP. Just an idea I got from aoe ii which I thought might be interesting.

I've only bought a few apostles and their cost is 600, while the specialists cost 3995, 1995, 1995, and 1600 and I have never bought them.

I say to start, try 350-450 faith that scales up per use if possible like unit purchasing. If this seems too unbalanced adjust. At 350-450, I would think It would be cheap enough to be usable in a pinch to save your city or add to the push of an offensive but expensive enough where early game you won't be able to aquire more than 2-3 units this way in 30-50 turns unless your established as a faith power house.
Also 350-450 faith makes it still occasionally usable if you start a game in industrial or greater era and do not make heavy use of holy sites.
