Treeslod_23 v1.1

Description
Introduction:
Thanks for your attention : ).
This mod improves the aesthetics of trees and soil over the long distance.
I've tried a lot of mods, aiming to fix this endemic problem that affect TESV, but none of them convinced me.

So I decided to combine (and improve!) a selection of promising textures, from various mods or by altering the original game assets.

New Update!
    Version 1.1
  • Trees shading 100% redone from scratch, based on Bethesda's HD Textures Pack. Now more gradual and homogeneous.
  • Color correction fine tuned, closest to the vanilla's palette.

Compatibility:
This is a texture pack. There is no problem with the majority of the other mods, with the exception of some packages that alter the same graphic material (low definition trees / terrain skin) included in Treeslod_23: be careful if you already use any texture mod, similar to this one!

Description:
Here's how Treeslod_23 works:

  • Increases the consistency of impostors, shadowing them in a more convincing way.
    More infos: Wikipedia | Impostor[en.wikipedia.org].

Nb.: The original file 'tamrieltreelod.dds', embedded and modified in Treeslod_23 1.0 (now deprecated), comes from 'Recoloured trees and improved LOD trees[skyrim.nexusmods.com]' by Prime8King. Thank you very much for inspiration!

  • Makes the terrain more detailed, thanks to a more defined detail texture.
More infos: Gamasutra | Detail Textures[www.gamasutra.com].

Nb.#2: The original file 'noise.dds', embedded and modified in Treeslod_23, comes from 'Detailed Terrain LoD and Tree[skyrim.nexusmods.com]' by Rennn. Thanks you too!

  • Framerate performance unaffected: resolution and compression of the modified textures are identical to the vanilla's counterparts!

  • Full official DLCs coverage, (Dragonborn, Hearthfire, Dawnguard).

What now?
Simply subscribe to Treeslod_23! And enjoy a more realistic and natural environment, that best suits the original artistic vision of the game.
Just one last note: do not forget to examine the attached photos, they are worth a thousand words!

Uninstallation:

Special thanks to:
  • You : ),
  • Bethesda,
  • Prime8King & Rennn,
  • Valve.

Hi Prime!
The original version (1.0, now deprecated) actually use your assets. I thought it was sufficient to cite the source of the assets. I'm sorry!
As said on the description, with the 1.1 version i've removed your textures and modified the original ones provided by Beth : ).

I've sigly updated the description to avoid further misunderstandings : ).

Good sir,
"Recoloured trees and improved LOD trees" on the Nexus site clearly shows that it is not permitted to upload that mod to another site or use its assets without permission. Please pay a tiny bit more respect to other modders in the future, like reading their distribution permission. ;D
Awesome mod!

Idk if i want to change the trees this way cause they should look blurred far away its more realistic, Unless your charecter has hawk eyes and perfect vision.
