Description

Yes, I'm bringing it back. Now that the survival update has provided a small grid start option, here is the Vanilla version of the Solar Pod & Utility Trailer respawn ship.

This mod will replace the vanilla respawn ships except for the planetary landers.

Armed with solar panels and a couple of batteries, you will have to navigate to a safe start point and gradually build your power resources until you are fully established.

The Solar Pod is powered by 9 Solar Panels and runs 7 small thrusters, an ore detector and antenna. Also has O2 generator and a battery, remote & camera included.

The detachable Utility Trailer has 1 survival kit and cargo container. 2 solar panels and a battery power the trailer so you may leave it at a chosen location and you can continue to explore in the Solar Pod.

In the cargo you will find 20 ammo, 1000 ice, oxygen & hydrogen bottles. There are no guns or turrets, you'll need to build those yourself...

@TwitchyJ, thanks for the comment! I have updated it to allow the planetary landers and included the info in the description.

It doesn't say it in the description, but when I use this in a world it disables all other respawn ships.

It is a mod because it is a respawn ship.

Hey Texan, it wasn't meant for atmospheric, it's space only unless you convert it. You could produce everything you need for atmo thrusters and try and land it, or you could add chutes. That's half the fun of the game right there. ;)
