[AGI] ATV-8B (Miner)

Description
[No Mods]
[Survival Ready]

Description:
Functional tunneling vehicles utilizing pistons and rotors can be extreamly complicated to build and as such being out of reach for small colonies with inexperienced crews. Engineers in Argonaut Industries came up with a cheap alternative using the ATV-8A as a base and strapping mining drills upon it.
Drill Operating Hints:
- you can use right mouse button to clear large areas in front of the vehicle without collecting anything - with a little practice, you can dig tunnels (right click) large enough to drive in them, going up or down - when you have reached ore veins, you can even use this to drill ore (left click) if positioned right - by changing the two conveyor tubes next to the drills with pistons, you can make it even more useful

Hmm... Back when I made these, they worked fine. You could try reworking the wheels to have only 3 pair of wheels with bigger gap between them.

needed to fix it but deleting the wheels number 2

@5KM PEEK This is an old and simple version without any subgrids, so you can't move it up or down. You could try one of these versions for better functionality: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2591174925 https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2303109675 https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2981547850

how do you move the digging bit up and down?
Smokki  [author] 12 Mar, 2023 @ 11:13am
@Nesano I've seen that happen at times in multiplayer but not really on singleplayer.

Lol wtf now they're not clanging. I'll have to see if I can figure out what causes it and what fixes it.

It doesn't work perfectly in singleplayer, the wheels rub together and get forced above and below each other.

That could be. Thanks for the response.

@Maey My guess would be that most people try this alone in singleplayer and on server things can be a bit more unstable. So where in singleplayer this setup works perfectly, in server it might not. Though I do remember using this on server without any problem a long time ago.
