(Outdated; see link in description) Sturgeon-Class Light Factory Ship (Planet-capable)

Description
New version here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2169134151

Survival tested!

This is a major, major update and refit of the contest-winning Sturgeon-class. Through significant work, planetary landing capability was achieved, able to land and achieve orbit from an Earthlike planet or similar. When entering atmosphere, you MUST press 4 to engage the bottom thrusters, and press 5 to enable gravity alignment. Otherwise you WILL crash. If you're going too fast and need to stop, activate the parachutes.

Specs:

Mass: Approximately 3,000,000 kg
Refineries: 8 (200% efficiency on all)
Assemblers: 8 (300% productivity on all)
Cargo Containers: 8 Large and 50+ Small
Jump Drives: 2 (1500 km range)

Background:

The Sturgeon-class Light Factory Ship was designed by Wolf Industries to fill a perceived need for a smaller and cheaper version of its Mothership. While the Mothership could do it all, its size and expense put it well out of reach of all but the largest operations.

In order to maintain parts commonality, the Sturgeon uses the same hull, but some hull sections were removed, resulting in a "cut down" appearance. The refining capacity suffered immensely in this refit, down from 20 refineries to a mere 4. But efficiency modules were installed in the remaining refineries in order to somewhat lessen the blow. Likewise, ship-carrying capacity was halved and reduced to a mere 3. The same treatment can be seen throughout the ship, with crew recreation areas removed and any non-essential space being omitted. The only space spared this spartan treatment was Engineering; visitors to the aft compartment of the ship will see the same room as on the larger Mothership, albeit with two fewer large cargo containers (10 instead of 12) to make room for the jumpdrives that would normally be installed at the front of the ship.

Unfortunately, before it could be unveiled to the public, Big John stole the prototype to give to Barry, Dave, and Kevin as they fled the inner solar system. Their destruction of a massive military installation did not go unnoticed, and they needed to make themselves scarce. Before handing it over, Big John hastily fitted a number of weapons to the lower hull where there were already conveyor hardpoints. Never intended to be a warship, it nevertheless packed a painful punch that easily dealt with the few enemies that stood between them and open space.

That did not stop production of the ship, though the final production version was modified slightly, with twice as many refineries and assemblers, and full efficiency modules on each. The engineering section was slightly shortened by this refit, but still contains 8 large cargo containers for a signifcant cargo capacity.

After a few years in production, a significant refit was made. This added planetary landing capabilities. The difficulties of operating such a large starship in atmosphere means that significant care must be exercised in its use, however.
