[Fighter Blueprint] MEC VF-15 'Chalibea' Advanced Railgun Fighter

This portion of the Muthos Engineering Consortium (MEC) Signature Catalogue is restricted to business partners with at least a level CS-RA security clearance. The official MEC refit of the Zethina Manufacturing ZF-5 'Cyanea', the 'Chalibea' is based on the newer, more advanced HEX-ES drive system. Using newly developed metamaterials, engineers were able to further miniaturize several of the internal systems, allowing room for a full second set of firing capacitors and the addition of a second railgun. Pilots flying the VF-15 have the option of alternating fire between the two railguns, greatly improving rate of fire, or firing them both in tandem for a massive burst against a weak point. While these advances come at the cost of a considerably more complicated production process, the amount of firepower that the VF-15 can bring to a carrier's arsenal often more than makes up for the cumbersome requirement of dedicated productions facility.

The VF-15's superior performance to the already well-tested ZF-5 was the key motivating factor behind the MEC's decision not to release it to the general public - instead, it is marked by the orange "elite" designation stripe, only sold and licensed to trusted partners.

The VF-15 'Chalibea' is exactly 200 blocks. It is designed for use as a high-cost, late game railgun fighter. This design does not have any docking issues with the 'Vespa' hive ship. The fighter is named for Synoeca chalibea, a species of South American "warrior wasp" known for one of the most painful stings in the entire insect world.

Screenshots (besides the auto-generated preview image) show fighters at true scale - when you use this blueprint to produce fighters, that's the level of detail you can expect from the final product.

This ship is intended for use as a fighter blueprint, as it lacks the critical ship components necessary for player control.
