Gravemind - William Cameron (Bill)

"Born on September 28th, 2466; William Cameron commonly referred to as "Bill" - enlisted in the Colonial Military Authority at the age of 17 on March 7th, 2483. After insurrection had begun to plague their province, he pressured his mother to sign his waivers and documents to allow him to enlist early in his life; and was quickly embedded into the CMA's boot camp on the outskirts of Elosia.

Having become distracted by the acts of terror that they had instilled, coupled with a lack of resourced and management on the CMA's part caused him to barely learn anything during his selection process. After passing with flying colors, he was deployed upon various operations to quell insurgent activity; and very quickly became disillusioned due to the guerrilla tactics they employed - causing expensive operations to be shut down due to the lack of contact or successful missions as well as the growing sentiment between Insurrectionist sympathizer, making every mission just a little more difficult. While he did enjoy operating with the members of his squad - the lack of actual progress in their AO, as well as recently uncovered corruption within the CMA began to point him in a new direction.

After another failed operation - he made a request to the CMA to be transferred - seeking to instead operate within the UNSC's Armed Forces instead. With his request approved - he then spent two years as standard infantryman within the 212th within Palhaza's main reserve units - eventually rising to the rank of Sergeant. Having reached the minimum time period for the Army's Airborne selection program, he jumped at the opportunity and, upon successful acceptance after the rigorous process - was ultimately assigned to [REDACTED UNIT INFO DO NOT DISTRIBUTE] Battle-hardened, Bill was one of the many men in the Army's Airborne regiments that never sustained an injury in conflict - and was ultimately struck down not on the field, but on shore leave. In 2493, he became a victim to the very enemy he swore to fight so long ago - losing his leg to an Insurrection bombing against the Arcadia Club in Levosia, and regardless of his ailment, ultimately chose to continue to serve until his honorable discharge from service in 2499. This came shortly after a high-risk engagement during Operation: TREBUCHET, where he found himself outmanned and outgunned.

After his discharge, he ultimately avoided the UNSC's Recreational Facilities, and instead became a spokesperson for active duty personnel who were considering discharging from service and joining the many private corporations that employed former military personnel as contractors. During one such session, he met Flight Lieutenant Sandra Corey - who would ultimately become his wife, and give birth to their child in the early 26th century. While he cherished family life, he felt as if he still owed his service to the stars. His son would eventually attend the OCS Lunar Academy and was successful in his application to the Marine Corps - which gave Bill some concern due to the Insurrection rising up once more, but he was confident in his prowess. Ultimately, the Cameron men would get their chance as 2525 slowly came to an end, as an alien hegemony would attack Humanity, glassing Harvest and razing planet after planet. During those 25 years of death and suffering, he would be once again thrust into action utilizing his skill set and connections to become re-enlisted into the UNSC. As the conflict concluded, Bill would not be eligible to return to his home planet; as it was ultimately glassed in 2533 and took the life of his beloved Sandra with it. With his daughter still active in the 7th Shock Troop Battalion, Bill would ultimately retire from the UNSC after 70 years of scars, battles and blood.

In the current post-war climate, he relocated to the Outer Colonies, deciding to live some more years as a civilian, and found himself resuming enlistment in the Colonial Militia for the planet. Old habits would die hard, and it seemed Bill had more fuel in him for a few more missions."
