Description
This is a concept build for a new type of rover + drone system.
Built on the idea of removing the dedicated flatbed often used to dock drones by making the drone split and be stored on the sides instead, allowing for more cargo space on the rover without taking up much more space in general.

I have tried to make it as safe as possible for public use but there may still be some clang elements to it. The "Trigger" Timer Blocks are also set to turn off when their action should not be used so mishaps should be fairly unlikely.... hopefully.

Update 2019-05-02: Improved safety and reduced likeliness of activating the wrong timer blocks. Added a sensor to automatically retract the crane if a "station" grid is in front of it when unpacked.

Also, feel free to copy this concept, build upon or take inspiration from it. But if using this specific design please do credit me for it.

Well, I've fixed drone now it fly's and has scripts on it with now armor with updated look with new blocks from DLCs and done some updating to Rover just setting up timer for loading and unloading the drone when done will post here then to workshop

The splitter no longer flies.

Great concept! The only issue I have is that the landing gear doesn't get close enough to the frame in order to lock. I've found a workaround using blast doors in the contact area of the frame (as full-sized blocks are too tall) and it works a treat.

Hi. All good and awsome work , but projector cant write multiple grinds so cant build this in survival mode. All good for me but how it can by change in game for more immersive future , mayby multiple projector system with timer blocks and programable block script , endgame machine with 300% more rare ores components to build this. Mayby Marek Rosa have some plans for this.

Okay, after seeing this, right after seeing the MCT-2 rig, I'm definitely Following the author. Outstanding work, and the look is just perfect on all his (or her) builds! Everyone interested in this one should check out the collection and look at the MCT-2 rig+drone combo, for mining.
