Rudder Controller

Description
Keeps your boat on course with auto correction of the rudder. Just put this controller between your steering control and your rudder, add a compass sensor and you can easily hold your course even in stormy weather.
This tiny controller also helps to keep track with helicopters, planes, submarines, cars, ...

Controller size: 3x1

Inputs:
- Compass reading (number) - connect to the compass sensor
- Steering input (number) - goes to the A/D control or whatever you use for steering your vehicle

Outputs:
- Rudder output (number) - To the rudder

Properties:
- Sensitivity [0..1] (slider) - 0= no correction, 1= max correction

Yes, the logic is build in: as long as you steer manually (rudder input not zero) the course is updated to your current heading. When you stop steering (rudder input = 0) it keeps the course. That's it. The only thing you can adjust is the sensitivity of the automatic steering.

No need to set it up, just connect the inputs to your compass sensor and the seat and the output to the rudder. You can steer your rudder normally and when you don't steer (rudder input = 0), the rudder controller holds your current direction.
