British Yard Cranes

Description
3 variations of steam era British style goods yard cranes as animated scenery assets.
(For scenery only, does not provide a game function.)
Available: Always

Animation is the crane turning by ~90° in each direction on a constant loop. One of 5 variations in timing will be picked at random when set on Auto. (This is intended to prevent synchronised crane dancing...)

Other options allow for variation in appearance of the base, etc. It uses some of the game's own textures and 1850s driver as a railwayman (which can also be placed separately).

The options can be changed after the crane has been placed, by clicking on it.

The crates and barrels in the screenshots are put of my Asset Old Cargos mod:

Ha!
I've seen the remains of one of these on the Basingstoke Canal. It used to look like the arched version in the images, way back in the mid 1970's. Now all that's left of it is the circular metal base and the concrete housing.

@gerald-h - Yeah, I thinking I should be able to do this one soon. I've some done work on it previously. I'll try and finish it within the next week or so. Thanks.

Hello,
Can you convert this for TPF 2 ?

This one takes me back! A concrete base of one of these is all that's left on the local canal. The crane was still being used in the 50's, until the yard using it closed and in the early 70's, only the base of the crane was left and got rusted to f@#k, so it got removed. The canal underwent renovation, and is now used for boating (mainly barges) and as a pedestrian and cycle path, going the whole length of it through my local town.

no rush, just prepare and relax yourself is the best thing to do before tpf 2 comes out

considering you see the flying scotsman in the trailer

since the game engine looks almost the same, i think you wont have to worry, just a simple conversion would probably work.

@power man - Yes, but it's a bit early to know how that affects my current and future mods, since it's release is 4-6 months away and information is limited. I will still release more mods for this game before TpF2 is released.
