Description
PLEASE READ!
This is a difficult map, which could be separated into two parts: 1. getting all cubes; 2. open and reach the exit door. The first part features absolutely uncommon, creative techniques. Maybe they don't work at first try, but if you think you've found the intended way, just repeat it. MAKE SURE that "Micropositioning" of portals on the floor surfaces can cause different results. Portals can be placed centered or at the lower/upper edge of a surface.
The second half is more focussed on logic and usual moves.

- only the regular cube respawns when it gets destroyed
- companion cube dropper has a little delay
- green fizzler blocks objects - DON'T ABUSE IT!
- it's not intended to place a cube on the white borders under a cube dropper. Believe it or not, I've added an invisible protection. It's not worth trying it
- FLOATING CUBES are NOT intended. I added an anti-hovercube system (many thanks to Nobody No-One, it's his invention), so just play as if you did not know that this issue exists

- it's not intended to shoot portals while being in mid-air
- no glitches, quick reflexes or speedrun techniques required
- the pedestal button is a toggle switch
- laser collision (for the player) is OFF
- monitors should help to keep the sigange in mind

BIG THANKS to Nobody No-One and Andi for playtesting.

The wonderful music was composed by Mikeastro, visit his profile!

Feedback is welcome :)

@Narkodes Thank you for the clarification. I played it in october 2022 (and revisited it today after your comment : link , the solution is basically the same), but cubes on 2:50 and 4:21 seemed pretty floating to me, so I decided these moves were banned. I also didn't pay attention to gliches since they are banned in a separate line and probably saw rc jumping as weird engine stuff. Then I spent many hours trying to find an alternative solution and eventually dropped this map. Since then, I have minor ptsd every time I hear Track 3 by Mikeastro:) To be clear, let's only blame me for this mistake.
It's clearly a top-tier puzzle with an exceptionally good design and very good logic. And it definitely deserves even more kind words, but unfortunately, most of my emotions are gone by now.

@mark: Have you ever removed a cube or bridge under a reflective cube, that sits on top and is aiming a laser? If you do that, the reflecting cube will be stuck "floating" in mid-air. This is a common glitch, but I always try to implement a fix for it when it would collide with the intended solution.

Hi. I don't know exactly what floating cubes are. Are they ghost cubes or something else?

Nice puzzle. I figured out the beginning fairly quickly, and I had the end sequence worked out, but I did not notice the subtle difference in the faith-plate trajectories; I had been assuming they were sort of identical. Once I noticed that, everything became clear. Also, I'm guessing if you were to make this puzzle again, you would have done some of the signage a bit differently :P Maybe we can expect an Ashimilation remake someday with some of your modern techniques. Anyway, I really enjoyed playing this one; good work.

Some parts are just unintuitive, but overall I like it. 10/10

@Leomievs: Yeah... I can't change it, unfortunately. I tried it for many hours, but it's not possible. Auto-portal is not possible, that's clear. And I couldn't find a way to shrink the floor portal surface, so that only 1 position is possible. The same goes for different faith plate-settings. It's the same crap everytime, it was not possible to find a situation whereany portal shot leads to the same outcome. It's also worth mentioning that cubes and players have a different flight path, which is responsible for many problems here. However, I think/hope it's "clear enough" in this map :')
