Doggerland Redux: Fat Britain Edition

Description

This is a remake of an old Doggerland mod I did, and it adds a lot more countries, provinces, and flavor to both the new region of Doggerland, the British Isles, Scandinavia and Germany.

Doggerland is the name of a land mass now beneath the southern North Sea that connected Great Britain to continental Europe. It was flooded by rising sea levels around 6,500–6,200 BC. Geological surveys have suggested that it stretched from Britain's east coast to the Netherlands and the western coasts of Germany and the peninsula of Jutland. It was probably a rich habitat with human habitation in the Mesolithic period, although rising sea levels gradually reduced it to low-lying islands before its final submergence, possibly following a tsunami caused by the Storegga Slide.

Of course, Doggerland's existence probably would have completely changed the global geopolitical scene in an incalculable way, so I took some liberty with the new inhabitant nations instead of rewriting all of history.

Here's a rundown on the new lore I guess:

The Heartlands

The Heartland Princes reign over one of the richest and most populated regions in Europe, if not the world. This land, having been occupied and inhabited by the French, Germans, English, Vikings, Romans, and many others over the years has become home to a unique syncretism of European culture and a cosmopolitan business hub of North and Western Europe.
Since the 13th century, the Heartland Princes have been joined together in a protective federal union called the Great Commonwealth of the Heartlands. The Prince-Electors swear fealty to an elected Lord Protector who reigns from the Imperial City of Valva.

The North

With more land inhabited by the Norse/German pagans came more resources and higher populations. This impeded the conquest of Rome into the Northern European territories and subsequently the spread of Christianity into these regions. The missionaries made it their goal to synthesize a new religion with elements from both Christianity and Paganism in order to ease the Northern peoples into Roman catholicism peacefully and over time.
Though the Kingdoms slowly became Roman Catholic for Papal promises of gold and prestige, there are still lands who quite enjoy the ways of their ancestors, and are widely regarded as merely misguided heretics.

The English

Britain, much larger and carb-loaded than in our timeline, is a vast and varied land of riches and legends. The great castle of legend, Camelot, stands in York waiting to be ruled by a Great Briton, a Pendragon. If your name is Arthur try every lake until you get the right one, I don't know man.

1.29 breaks this mod, north doggerland is owned by manchurian and mongolian nations, probably due to the new provinces added by the manchu update

Hey, I see in the screenshots you can pick deities for the northern orthodox religion in the religion tab, yet in game I don't think I can do that, what do I press to get to that screen?
