Description
CLIMB MOUNT NARODNAIA
This series of scenarios is meant to simulate a Soviet invasion of Japan, after a joint Japanese-Korean-American fleet exercise is seen by the Soviets as a preparation for an attack against the motherland. These scenarios are not meant to be overly realistic, but instead are designed to mirror a campaign by the same name in Wargame: Red Dragon, with a few twists, edits, and additional content to make the missions more enjoyable and challenging. Have fun!
-All scenarios authored by Alejandro Reyes, aka Warhero101
A new offensive strikes into the JSDF directly across three fronts, threatening to put Japan out of the fight once and for all. The Soviet Navy and Air Force have put forth a herculean effort to keep the frontline units active, even to the detriment and loss of effectiveness in other areas of the globe. The Soviet Union is now all in on Japan.
In the island of Shikoku, the reds have pushed through what meager resistance the Japanese were able to erect and have executed a strong blitzkrieg-style advance, separating and trapping the Japanese in several seemingly impregnable pockets. The desperate situation has caused the remaining JSDF leadership to pull out all air force assets from Shikoku and have ceased all but the most important evacuation and escort missions above the island, effectively solidifying Soviet air dominance. What comes next has been the bane of officers and enlisted men of both sides alike- urban warfare. The difficulties of communication, the amount of choke points and hiding spots, civilians running wildly into crossfires, and the vulnerability of armor in a close-quarters environment are but a few of the challenges an army faces in modern urban warfare, but in the end, nothing can be captured without boots on the ground. Having recently been replenished with ammunition and replacement aircraft, Kuznetsov is in position to provide close air support to another day of fierce fighting in the meatgrinder of the frontlines. If not before, all of the Soviet pilots are now fully aware that it is much better to be in the hot skies above than in the blood gulch below...

ACT SEVEN: STRANGLER
- In Wargame, the original ground forces available seen in this scenario are much smaller. I have beefed up both sides and given the player multiple objectives to give the scenario more flavor and difficulty.
- This scenario is very ground-combat oriented. Ground units, especially armor, are incredibly vulnerable to ambushing strikes from hidden infantry and heavy weapons. Your superiors won't allow much time for you now, however, so make good use of what limited air support you have available.
