dupe description:

this is the most advanced AI brain in gmod, it can memorise the location of its target if it loses them, has a 180 degree vision cone and has binaural hearing systems for optimal sensory function

usage:

the yellow ranger sends co-ordinates of the seen player or NPC to the gimbal via the D-Latch to help the brain seek out lost targets
(the gimbals "Target [Vector]" is unwired to the "D-latch" to prevent accidental breaking of the gimbal while the machine is being built, also the D-Latch is in the middle of the very back edge of the brain and the gimbal is at the front in the middle and has the model of a wiremod gate)

the 4 purple rangers and 8 purple "greater than" gates on the front can be used for depth perception (its currently not wired into the main system as it has no use yet)

the 4 black outputs will output a signal when the brain sees its target in its peripheral vision

the 4 "regular" outputs on the front will output a signal when the brain sees its target in its direct vision

the 4 large red outputs will output a signal when the main vision sensors (the front red rangers) see the target

the 5 blue rangers will detect the walls, floors and ceiling and need to touch the environment for the AI brain to know that its in a viable environment and not some endless empty void

the single pink output at the back of the green cube will output a signal when any of the 5 blue rangers touch the environment

the 4 blue "or" (any) gates on the top can be used to increase or modify its sensory abilities

the 4 red target finders control the maximum distance it can see and hear (make the red rangers length the same value for maximum efficiency)

also this brain will react to sounds and when it detects a target in its peripheral or front facing vision (vision is a 180 degree and 1000 wiremod units big) and can see up, down, left and right and has binaural hearing systems for optimal sensory function

advice:

scale the weight of the gimbal to the point where the machine can still turn its "head" when it detects a sound or target in its vision for optimal functionality

and here I am making a simple brain that only knows whether or not the target is to the left or the right and this guy is making one that has multiple senses and memory

@kousoulakis

cool idea but practicality wise it may be too much for most players pcs to handle

you need to make a brain have a complete personality, buddy. it needs to feel, think, even how to use a physgun. can't you do that? or ask autismus
Father Andrew  [author] 4 May, 2019 @ 10:13am
@Stovokorix

ask autismus to help you learn how to use wiremod
Stovokorix 4 May, 2019 @ 8:28am
I'm afraid not, I don't know what that is. I probably don't know enough yet to be trying to use something like this

@Stovokorix

like, any kind of wiremod thing for it to move around using?
Father Andrew  [author] 3 May, 2019 @ 2:10pm
@Stovokorix

did you make a body for it to be linked to?
Stovokorix 3 May, 2019 @ 1:59pm
It appears to be trying to move but achieves nothing, any ideas?
