With an omni-purpose buildset in mind, the Wahr Corporation spared no expense in trying to build ships that did not have downsides - save for the pricetag.

The C1.TA-D3.1 Battlecruiser (a.k.a. "Citadel") was built by the same engineers who built the much smaller cousin, the Bastion. When even a whole fleet of Bastions weren't enough, designs for an even larger omni-purpose ship were being realized, with everything getting an upgrade in an attempt to combat the growing threats.
