Karbon K XV Hover Controll | simple use |

Description
Welcome to the first ever Karbon Microcontroller!

This is built for for Hovercrafts of all size that work on a system like a Jump Jet. For example, the Karbon K XV, which this Microcontroller was originally designed for, works fine on that system. You might want to check it out.

What is this Microcontroller meant to do?

Its meant to save space in your VTOL and give you a nice control system that is easy to use and hook up.

How does it work?

It work on alot of logic (duh). for the yaw in hover mode it just inputs a number of the yaw, scaled down by a funtion. The thrust spoilers are a little more complex however. All numbers are scaled down of the inputs roll, pitch and up/down, all of that also by function gates. These numbers are added up and being removed from the constant number '1'. Because the thrust spoiler needs the number '1' to not give any ouput, youre just giving more power on every exhaust when pressing the button.

Anything of note?

- Its recommended to use a Gyro or in other workds its pretty much necessary!
- It's necessary to have the exhausts point into VTOL mode when spawing, otherwise it won't work!
- If its gonna be used, please provide some credit like linking to this Microcontroller or saying that I made it.
- It's good to have common knowledge of the game, knowing how to do stuff and so on, otherwise I can assure you wou will have a bad time :D

If you have any trouble setting it up or with values or maybe even of an update seemingly having it destroyed, just write a comment ill figure a way out!

Greetings,
Mayo

Sorry for the late reply, thank you though :>

this can probably work on VTOL's, however not as effeiciently as making a microcontroller specifically for your hovercraft. If you have a similar setup to the one in the picture try using it, but don't forget to set the mode of the microcontroller to the correct one :griefer:

I thought this was for hovercraft's, not VTOL's. Does it work on both?

or instead of uploading I could share you my screen live, on discord #4143 name is same as here with the caps

so the issue I have always with gyros, is the constant need to keep flying vertical, and I tried it with it on and off, only difference is that the gyro just makes the aircraft resist the wheels brakes even more and thrusts it forward into flight. I did not hook the gyro up to the control surfaces of the aircraft only to your mc. But like I said, it only makes the aircraft want to take off like a normal aircraft pushing it forward to V1 and rotation, not like in should do in vertical take off. I have not posted it on the workshop yet to download, I'll see to it after your comment, I will also take a gander at your aircraft see if there is any differences.

are you using a Gyro? is the Vehicle very imbalanced? are the connections correctly hooked up? are the VTOL Jets build facing the wrong direction?

I recommend looking at my Hovercraft. If that doesn't help, I can have a look at it myself if you want. Because if it's an issue with the MC I should probably fix it.

so I found your controller yesturday thinking it would be my saving grace to make my own harrier, ye I'm having an issue of it not taking off in vertical flight at all, I have used weight blocks to balance it,it primarily either lifts the front or the rear, unevenly. The jet also moves forward as I increase throttle with brakes on when in vertical takeoff, also whilst in normal flight, it has the tendancy to not fly straight, yes the jets are level, but I think adding tilt sensor imputs would help this mc.

Great to hear and good luck with your VTOL :D

thanks for the microcontroller i didn't know where to start with jet VTOL and this helped me tons. I edited it to work with a jet i built and it works well.

Yes I'm here for help! Try editing the values that change the roll-limit as well as pitch. Also, are your thrusters inline with the Center of Mass? that can cause problems too. maybe the gyro overreacts and change it's values and see if that helps. Every plane is different, so if it won't help, just add me here on Steam and we'll work something out! :D
