Beachking 1800 "Ocean Monarch II"

Description
I wanted to take another run at the "Ocean Monarch," As I quite liked the earlier builds of that jet. I moved some parts around on the base of the new plane I was working on, and I think I've come up with a decent-looking update.

It's fast enough to make journeys to the arctic fairly easy, and the GPS Navigation with Altitude Hold keeps it tracking straight.

---

Massive thanks to jbaker96 for their PFD, and navigation displays. I quite like them, and I think they fit the plane very well. I'm looking forward to their MFDs to complete a glass cockpit!

PFD: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1744477495

Nav Display: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1748077606

jbaker96's workshop: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198092521892/myworkshopfiles/?appid=573090

A few changes had to be made to accommodate the new displays, though.

- Airspeed is now indicated in knots. This doesn't really change anything, but it's worth making note of as a reference point.

- Altitude is indicated in feet on the PFD, while the altitude hold is still indicated in metres. I've relabeled the keypad to reflect this, and added a dial in the center stack to display altitude in metres for reference. Functionally though, everything is the same!

CONTROLS
-----

Pilot and Co-pilot have identical controls, and the pilot can hand over control with the labeled key button to the left of the compass.

Stick/Yoke: WASD
Pedals/Yaw: Left/Right Arrow keys
Throttle: Up/Down Arrow keys, also mounted in cockpit

Hotkey 1: Wheel Brakes
Hotkey 2: Afterburner
Hotkey 3: Heater

Altitude Hold: The small keypad allows you to set your desired altitude; pressing the nearby button activate Altitude Hold, which seeks and holds the indicated altitude while leveling off roll. Please ensure that gradual transitions are made, as the autopilot struggles with fast, fine adjustments.

GPS Autopilot: The larger keypad allows you to input a waypoint, and pressing the adjacent button will activate GPS Navigation; this takes over control of the plane's rudder and will direct the aircraft towards the indicated waypoint. Additionally, a light with illuminate and an alarm will sound once the plane is within 2km of it's destination; this indicates that a new waypoint should be input, or that navigation should be switched off.

When used seperately, these two systems allow the pilot to make course corrections, ex: Changing altitude or banking into a sharp turn made by GPS navigation / Freely using yaw to turn while Altitude Hold keeps the plane level. Used together, they can enable hands-free flight until the GPS destination is reached. When one or both systems are active, a light illuminates on the dashboard to indicate reduced control input from the pilots, as well!

STARTING PROCEDURE
-----

- Overhead there should be a key marked "Fuel Valves." Turn that on!

- Next, turn on each engine's compressor with the appropriately labeled button, and wait for the engines to ignite.

- Now is a good time to check lights, and input settings for Altitude Hold and GPS Navigation!

- Once the engines fire up and begin to spool, the aircraft will start moving. Apply the brakes with hotkey 1, and/or adjust the thrust spoiler overhead if you want the plane to remain stationary.

- Otherwise, taxi out to a runway, and throttle up. The plane responds quickly to increased throttle, and a setting of ~40 is adequate for taking off.

- Once in the air, raise the landing gear with the labeled button, and throttle up as needed.

- Hotkey 2 will toggle the Afterburner on and off. This provides a nice boost in speed, and when used with the Altitude hold and GPS Navigation, allows for hands-free cruising at a capable speed.

-----
LANDING PROCEDURE
-----

- Reduce speed! Switch off the afterburners and throttle back gradually, as large decreases in throttle can cause the engines to cut for uncomfortably long periods of time.

- Extending flaps can help bring your speed down, and you should aim for about 40 on the throttle. Make sure the landing gear is deployed!

- Take a low approach, and throttle back to idle as the aircraft crosses over airstrip. The plane will "drop" a bit as thrust tapers off, so the lower your approach the smoother the landing.

- Be ready with the brakes and keep throttling back - the throttle is a little slow to allow for finer adjustment, so it may take a moment to drop to idle.

- Taxi to your intended destination and apply brakes before adjusting the thrust spoiler and/or switching off the compressors and fuel valves to power down the engines. Done!

I'll have discussions open for suggestions and bug reports. Please let me know if something needs adjustments, and enjoy!

Also, please, no re-uploads. It's not the workshop moderator's job to investigate who is allowed to re-upload and who isn't; they simply remove items that aren't original creations. Let's keep their job as easy as possible!

@mountiecypress it worked for me I got it in the air yesterday night dunno why it's not working for you either you need to put the throttle at 100 and then engage the afterburners

Yes I will. Can´t wait to have it!

@ddeejjvviidd: Thanks man! I'm surprised it's still in service haha, but I'm glad that it's held up. One by one I'm updating my planes, so when I eventually rebuild this one, I hope you'll enjoy it too <3

This is my favourite plane on workshop. Its compact and so smooth flying <3

@JohnTheSpook: Hey thanks man! I'm surprised it still works; I've been taking a very long break from Stormworks, so I can't say that I've really bothered to fly this plane in a while. I'm sorry that there's a problem with it; but right now I'm working on complete rebuilds of my aircraft - I'll be sure to look into any engine issues then.

hey, great build,
i have a slight problem tho, i keep having the engines flame out. i usually have the throttle at about 50, 1000ltr/gal(not sure) of fuel, and i cant find out the reason for it. you ever have this happen?

I'm able to move the plane but I can't get it in the air. It always crashed into tree's or into the sea.

Every one of your planes are insanely cool, the gps, the design, the speed, I love each and every one of them, keep it up!

@hastyrain50: Heard! I was able to squeeze in a little more fuel in the latest update.

@et al: Thanks for the kind comments! I'm glad you enjoy my build.
