Please read the description:

First things first:
This map uses models and textures from CSS, Halflife 2 Episode 1 and Episode 2. If you see missing textures or error signs, check wether you have these games (or their game content) installed.

Make this map look great:
The lighting of this map was created without HDR in mind. It still works fine with HDR enabled, but might look a little bright in certain areas. You can enable or disable HDR lighting in the 'Advanced' panel of the video settings. Another interesting setting in there are reflections: you can chose to enable all reflections for the best visual effect, but this might hurt performance.

About optimization:
This map is not perfectly optimised, I know that. This is only my second map and the beautiful hammer editor takes some getting used to. I only found out how to do 3D Skyboxes in the very end of the map creation process, too late to incorporate them in any competent way.
Some parts of this map (the ones I created first) are poorely optimized in the texture category too because I did not create my brushes (arches in particular) with 'nodraw' selected. This would take ages to fix, I might do it for version 2.0 of this map, maybe.

Realism:
This is not an accurate representation of the beautiful city Venice. The map sort of represents the area around Accademia bridge, but not really. This is because I layed out the whole map before realizing Venice had google street view (I mean, there are no streets in Venice, how would I know they have street view?) and for some gameplay improvements.
