This is how we transport potatoes here in the Western US.

The truck is Timostrategy's Junker, which is based on a GMC 900 series.

Yes, here we use old trucks like this. I know a friend who used to use 1966 Ford trucks. In 2011.

The bed is a live bottom, because with a dumping trailer it will ruin the potatoes cause they hit the ground. With a live bottom, there is a conveyor on the bottom and that conveyor drops the potatos about one foot to the next conveyor that puts them in a barn.

These old trucks are still used to this day.
