Session Importer script

Description
This script will make it easy to copy shots from another session to your current one. Or to help you recover shots from a session that sfm can't open.

How to use
  1. First save your current session in case something goes wrong.
  2. open up the script, you'll find it under the mainmenu bar->scripts->Import->Import Session
  3. next select the session file you want to import from
  4. then once its done loading the file select and check off the shots or tracks you wish to import.
  5. then click import checked items. all import items will be dropped at the end of your film strip

Notes
  • make sure the current session name is different from the import session name, else it wont work and may cause issues with the current session, not from the file name but from the name when the session was created.
  • when importing a large session keep in mind that it will take a few secs or more for the script to load it.
  • also keep in mind that loading a large session will use up more of sfms' memory and will stay loaded until sfm restarts.
  • the import to miscBin option is for when you want to manually go though the shots in the element viewer yourself.
    this wiki will help: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SFM/Copying_shots_from_a_different_session
  • this script wont change the current map so you should make sure that the imported session map is the same as the current session.

feel free to modify the script for your own use
if you find any bugs or have suggestions message me in the comments below.

    Includes:
    sfm\mainmenu\Import\Import Session.py

I have a problem when importing a model with locked models, I get a message that "we are having problems importing this model" and all models that have been locked are now detached

i think this doesnt work anymore, im trying to import a session into another (both are named differently), but for some reason the session im trying to import is named the same as the session im working on, which is not the case when i load it up, and nothing gets imported at all, what do i do?

There might be some error because sometimes it's not detecting last shot from saved file. :robodance:
