The point of a drone hatch is being able to mine on a planet with harsh conditions. Character can easily sustain jump from cockpit to the compartment and he can summon drone from there for prolonged mining operations.

Thought the whole point of a drone hatch was not to go outside. Cockpit dumps you out and you need to run around to get into the back.

@jrandall, as you can see I did fit the hatch and it is also pretty protected by surrounding armor blocks. It is also 3x3 which makes it also a comfortable top side door. And I did not remove the mount points - only that radar.

Before this one I did use MX1 but that one is so small that you get stuck in the seat if your ship is inclined. But the idea of it is awesome as I did not expect myself being unable to mine on the moon wearing just a light suit and the hatch is a godsent in this case. I am sure there are many more dangerous environments you could use it in, especially after warp.

@Engimage, I got it added to the MX5T post now under modded versions. With newer designs I am thinking about drone hatches as part of the design. On my older SV's I didn't even know that was a thing that people wanted so I didn't work the design around having one. However I discovered on the recent MX2 rebuild that I could use a couple small shutter doors for a drone hatch which is much easier to fit and takes less space. Still on the MX5T, I have some weapon mount points where a drone hatch would be. I believe they would have to move elsewhere and then maybe there would be enough space for one. IDK for sure thou. Thanks again and nice work on this!

As you wish :)
I was just looking for a not-so-starter warp SV (but without rares) in your designs and did not find any so I decided to remake one most suitable for it.

One thing I was looking for is the ability to add drone hatch. Some of your new designs utilize top parts so much there is no possibility to add one. And the hatch is also useful to be able to go inside the ship mid air when you exited external cockpit while the ramp is not good at it.

And then I found out this CPU crap which effectively made me redisign the whole thing upside down

Looks sweet! Awesome work! If you want I can add it as a modded version on the MX5T page. Let me know. Thanks again for sharing :)
