History (In-Universe)

When the Galactic Empire was born - the Republic was dead. This also applied in terms of space combat and general tactics usage. According to the new Tarkin Doctrine, the old Republic Era fancy and well made starfighters were ought to be replaced with something new, cheap and mass producable. The trials were held, and TIE/ln Starfighter from Sienar Fleet Systems was chosen.

TIEs were serving well to the new government, until the Battle of Yavin. The need in better designed starfighter was now undeniable, but Empire's High Command still didn't want to spend tremendous amounts of money on the new model. Many prototypes were made, including such legends as TIE/Ad X1, TIE/Ad X7, TIE Hunter, but they all were too expensive to replace standart TIE, which cost only 60.000 credits. And that's where Interceptor showed up - it was an ideal upgrade of the original TIE/ln, boosting it's speed, maneuverability and weapons, but at the same time maintaining the low cost compared to the other participants of the trials. Palpatine never was able to fully replace every TIE Fighter with the Interceptor, although this fighter still served well to the Empire and it's heir-governments.

How To Launch

To properly spawn this model you have to:
  1. Go to the advanced settings of the world
  2. Turn on Supergridding
  3. Go to the mod settings of the world
  4. Add all mods
  5. Launch the world
Try to repeat this process and make sure that you did everything correctly and didn't forget about anything.

+LordBrocktree4 of course I know. It's an extremely neat concept of putting everything into one mod, but a lot of things look weird and clumsy to me. Especially the TIE Fighters. Sure, they can be more playable and practical than mine, but I am more into accurate replicas.

Are you aware of Kreeg's Imperial Mod? It has a wide variety of Imperial parts, weapons, ect.
