Description
To all of you heisters and thieves: This is NOT a Sprint to the finish level. I tried my hardest to get this level around the difficulty of "Identity."

i love the challenge, you cant just walk slowly pass a gaurd and get out of his sight before he notices you

Ha, yeah it is pretty clear, I'm just an idiot. Honestly it's a pretty great large-scale level, if I come across a computer that can run the game sometime soon I'll replay and try to be more critical.

Thanks for the praise Supermac! I did put arrows pointing to the basement in the Security room; Some people were missing it, I guess the arrows weren't quite enough for everyone :P (there are a lot of distractions).

Other than that little missed-floor ~ Any other feedback?

Great work, I love the secret passages in the vein of the main game. Useful, but not required to win. I got a bit frustrated with myself when I realized the Secured Floor was all the way at the bottom, after clearing my way to the top, must have added an extra four or five minutes to complete. That floor was great by the way, laser traps were intimidating without the hacker, but still more than possible.

I think I'm too sloppy a player to run this solo - it is indeed difficult! I think what I find particularly difficult isn't that there are too many guards or too many turrets, but that there's nowhere to run. A lot of open spaces make it easy for someone to spot you no matter where you dash off to (aggroing yet other guards or lasers). Small "safe zones" like a coat closet or bathroom might be helpful (or maybe I missed them?) Of course, this was only my first (very limited) runthrough. I may try it again later, perhaps with a friend.

(Did I overlook the disguises? I only found one, surrounded by civilians...)

All that said, the side view is awesome and the story is solid! Love the concept and wish you well with the contest!

Thanks RoadRunner!

You did play a more recent version of the level though!
I toned down the difficulty a fair amount. I'm still tinkering and trying to find that balance between Difficult and Cruel.

Killer level bro. I disagree about chrkchrk's basement assessment. I cleared it with the pickpocket and I think it would be even easier if I would have been playing as the hacker, cleaner or gent. Not saying it was easy, just would have been easier to clear with someone else. Awesom side view btw.

Thanks ChrkChrckChrk (lol that name)

I am glad you found it difficult. That's exactly what I'm aiming for; I want it to be on par with "Identity."

All floors are perfectly doable solo ( Although even I have trouble sometimes! ), but it is much easier to play in a group. I'm still working on balancing it, and I am currently working on a fairly large update for the second floor, with minor tweaks to the others.

If you have any more specific details you want to let me know about, I'll update the map to accomidate what I can.

Also a few tips:
-Don't waste the disguises! Remember that they also break agro ( Ground Floor ).
-There are secret passages in helpful locations ( not mandatory that you find them though ).
-There are multiple ways to pass each obstacle ( that I know of, I may have missed some )

First off: I love the sideview!

As for the gameplay, I'm not sure if it was your intention or not, but I found this map to be incredibly hard (at least in singleplayer - it might be easier with a full crew). The amount of machine gun guards and their placements made the third floor and roof feel like a meat grinder, and cleaning out the basement is just about impossible if your hacker dies. I also made the mistake of going straight to the top floor and then had to backtrack 4 floors to the basement, which became a whole new challenge in itself - got a game over before making it back to the roof. =/

That said, the mansion itself is lovely and I really apprecited the attention to the architectural aspects of the levels. Good luck in the contest!
