Proper Khopesh

Description
This mod gives a proper Khopesh to the Khopesh Swordsman. It also removes the swordsman's glitchy bored animation.

I used Kamos' hand blade as a base for this weapon, so it's not as detailed as Callistonian's Khopesh, but is also less likely to affect performance.

Camelry units are left unchanged.

This mod is included in my Human Units Visible Upgrades mod.

I found out what the reason is the chinees have wooden shields in game


They made a new medium and heavy and champion upgrade for the chinees but with te same icon and name as the one the greeks norse and atleanteans use, but it is not the same so the shields wil not be changing from material in the game but they are able in the editor(all unit senario, in specific because they norse,greek,atleantean upgrade is active as wel in that senario).

I wouldn't consider this mod to be a "fix", it's more a visual improvement mod. I think my Immortal mod might count though.

The thing is that, the Chinese have no unique shields, they use the shields of other cultures, hell even their cavalry only use shields, so basically the Chinese need shields for their Infantry, and Cavalry.

Hey you should see if the people over at the bug fix mod want to put this in their bigger fix modd. Cause this isnt really a mod more so a community made bug fix

Nick3069, that is indeed how they look in the editor but if you try it in the game they stay wooden.

Is there any chance you could look into improving the model for the Chinese Junk? I find it very unbalanced and lacking in detail. I feel as though it could do with another sail or two as well.

Maybe it's not the Armory upgrades and it's the Cavalry upgrades (Medium Cavalry/Heavy Cavalry/Champion Cavalry.) Here is how the Chinese cavalry units look in my game, and I don't have a mod for them.

You are partially right, the Cataphract uses the same shield as the Atlantean Contarius, but the Cavalry Archer and Scout uses the Greek Hippikon shield. I'll have to do some research to see what kind of shields were use by ancient Chinese cavalry...

Normaly if you upgrade a shield in the armory it will become bigger, unit upgrades should make it change from bronze colord to metal colord to gold colord.

but with the chinees cavalry the shields dont change from when you upgrade the unit. and the only thing that happens when you upgrade them in the armory is that they becom bigger, but they are still made of woord.


I already checked in the editor that if you do the cavlary upgrade of other nations the shield will change from color(material), but the chinees cavlary upgrade won't change the color(material) of the shields

And ones you check the shields in the editor (wich is the only way to see the different color(material)), it are just the plain atlantean ones nothing original.

If you could change make the steel and gold atlantean shields possible so the gold armor guys don't carry wood around any more I will already be happy.
But if you make your own line of shields that would truelly be awesome like seriously.
