Description
Pears Motor Works proudly presents the Labrousse Production Facility. Made for the Xcaliber designers challenge of May 2019. The tour starts at 3:59:28, a direct timestamped link is provided at the bottom of this description. I made some finishing touches, updated to alpha10 and did minor changes since.
This factory facility can orbit a planet and function as your (clan) base of operations. It is mostly made out of armoured concrete, mixed with some armoured combat steel. Armed to the teeth, but not crazy expensive, certainly not for a size class 10.
Its size class is also the reason this build is called 'POI' version.. I dont think a lot of servers will allow this size being spawned in. And there are quite some NPCs walking around to give this base a living/working atmosphere.

The Labrousse facility houses a vast production area in its dome. PMW installed a few special machines in this base: two main features would be the PMW Shredder 7800X and the sorter 6600X. All machines and production is controlled from 2 rooms: the control room on the 2nd floor, with view over the factory floor and one floor up you will find the storage main frame, where you can select all your component productions. In the control room you also have direct access to almost all
the cargo controllers, to see the other controllers on the factory floor, PMW installed the PMW Inventory Sorting system in this base; small constructors so you can easily see what is in those not so close controllers and boxes and access them from the control room as well.
Under the factory floor is a park, you could easily switch the current decorative plants out for edible plants and be a fully self sufficient facility. The Shredder 7800X is connected to the Sorter 6600X, it is possible to set this system up so that all raw resources in the game will be processed by the Sorter 6600X. Throw in everything you harvested or looted in the Shredder inputs, select your output needs and let the system do the rest. Or choose to keep the raw resources like logs and crushed stones for later processing. You can also easily set this base up to a more traditional and less automated method of operation.

Second floor is where the control room, kitchenette, general constructors and repair station are. Also easy access to the factory floor from here. In the tower you will find the armoury on the 3rd floor, has boxes and decos for all your ammo types, boosters, etc. Next to that is the storage mainframe room. On the 4th floor is the hospital with some options to store meds in the pharmacy. On the 5th floor are 4 suits and a commons bedroom with bunk beds and bathroom. On the 6th floor you will find a bar and a restaurant. On the 7th floor is where the planning and logistics offices are. There is a hangar where you can fit a few SVs, bigger SVs can find a spot on the landing pads on the outside of the factory.

This base has the maximum allowed number of turrets. PMW marked two spots where you could install 2 artillery cannons. Upgrading the repair bay on the CV landing pad to a tier2 repair bay is the second and last thing to add at level 20.

-max turrets for lvl 15
-T2 polourized hull shield
-64 constructors all labelled and set up for their specific use in the chain

-9 full capacity cargo controllers 320.000 each, 1 of 211.750 total:
3,091,750 untis of storage in controllers.
-39 small boxes (312.000) and 3 big boxes (48.000)
-grand total storage: 3.451.750 units
-256.500 units ammo storage
-20.000 units O2 storage (enough to spill all O2 in the compound once and still be able to refill)
-22 T2 Fuel tanks; total 59.400 fuel capacity giving
-27hrs+ of stanby time: shield, defences, growlights ON; constructors+ equipment off
-Solar power for emergency fuel production, 15 big panels, 2 solar capacitors

How to operate:
Fill up the shredder, walk to the sorter (dont forget the plant fibres on the second floor of the sorter (or access through PISsystem)) and queue up the appropriate resources you want processed. Every time the shredder empties out, these queues get reset, so no need to make super large queues here. The Shredder 7800X and Sorter 6600X are activated and controlled from the control room. The levers there will activate the constructors for processing in the Sorter. On the fuel and the ammo controller is a list with necessary resources. you will find the controllers to active the constructors for fuel and base ammo in the control room. All levers are labelled and will show their purpose (signal) when looking at them. On the bottom of the LCD screens is also a description what the lever does. Make sure for the first run that the components (input) controller has a stack of all resources. The storage main frame mainly runs from this controller.
Queue up all constructors with the corresponding components and see your storage room get filled.
You can off course also set the constructors for the storage to link to the components controller and take the surplus of components to the storage. The plus side of keeping them in their separate boxes is more for later game clan play; you will never be out on components (backup in the storage room) and production will be super fast if you keep the components controller filled. Keep the component controller filled or you loose your production queues. Don't forget to stop the production in the main frame when you got your storage filled to your liking.

In the floor of the control room you will find a constructor on either side, one is linked to the ammo storage and intended for vehicle ammo. On the other side it is linked to the general output, just like the 2 constructors next to the kitchenette. There are also the small constructors you can use to look in controllers and boxes, or press the access button for access. I might do a manual video for this base, but I think that people who play this game are smart enough to figure it out. Let me know if you run into any problems/ issues/ have feedback

n.b.: pressing the auto sorter in the P menu has hardly any consequences, I've only put the shield in it's own group, so you can turn off the equipment group without turning off the shield. A size class 7 version with less decos, glass and fanciness will be uploaded too. You could also remove the NPCs in creative mode, if you dont have the gold.

Very nice! I absolutely LOVE how alive this place feels. I know they are just deco, but they actually make the whole station seem like a living functioning, happening place!

Logged in here just to come and say those palette shelves are awesome!! Your simple solution deals with the fact they won't stack on each other directly and completes the aesthetic perfectly! This looks very industrial and feels like a legit factory facility. Well done!
