Description
Hello once again. This time i have created this enormous ship. It's a full replica of the "Rebel Flagship" from FTL. It's standing at around 46k blocks in size, and the interiors are just about as big as you'd expect. Speaking of interiors, i even replicated the room layout (Seen in images)! However the original layout seen in FTL has 2 rooms disconnected from all the other rooms, so i had to use a slightly different layout for the rooms that i found from the FTL community. Now a thing i really like about this ship is that the 4 weapons on the "arms" of the ship are actually somewhat functional. More about them later. The ship has conveyors and connectors you can make this in survival but building a ship this big might be a little inpractical




- 46k Blocks (Large)
- 5 large reactors
- Backup Battery subsystem (12% power boost)
- Jump drives scattered around the ship (1700km Jump distance)
- 100% Ion thrusters, but has some h2 tanks to refill smaller ships
- 4 Special weapons
- Basically a lot of turrets




Weapon slot 1: Ion stunner
Ingame this weapon stuns subsystems and gives them a cooldown. Now obviously that's not possible in space engineers, so i made the next best thing. A mini decoy cannon. The projectiles it shoots really are small and they curve a lot midair in an attempt to dodge the incoming fire and hold the turrets attention for longer

Weapon slot 2: Hull Laser
This weapon is very similar to the ion stunner, but it fires a damaging projectile instead that don't curve. The damage is pretty minimal but its good for 800+m chip damage

Weapon slot 3: Burst Artemsis
Its a controllable turret with 6 rocket launchers. No really that's it.

Weapon slot 4: Hull Beam
In FTL this is a laser weapon. I wanted this to be a mod-free ship so i used some workarounds instead. Now its a turret with loads of gatling guns, and it has a non damaging laser sight so it looks like its firing a beam instead of a stream of bullets. (It's actually just a projection with a really long red rod)

hey, this build is awesome, and i had a sugestion for it

i build scripted weapons, missiles mostly, torpedoes if needs be. i have been experimenting with swarm missiles recently (a compact platform that allows projectiles to be rebuilt with a single welder, and that take only 1.2x1.2x2.6 large blocks of space). they rebuild extremely fast and as such i thought it could be usefull for the artemis burst (and perhaps the hull laser too, where the artemis would fire the high explosive variant, and the hull laser would fire the kinetic variant) since it would give them a better feel and also increase their combat effectiveness quite a bit. it also gives the flagship means to defend against small fast targets, as the artemis missiles have self designation and even automatic threat detection abilities

I know he said theres no need to credit him if used on workshop ships but some people might want to make some special weapons of their own.
