Description
Uploading this by request. Low PCU scriptless vanilla autominer. (950PCU, 72 blocks)
Type 1 prototype low impact harvester platform for stone and surface ore, configurable to dig deeper by addition of pistons.

Designed as a testbed for autominer system to go with Mule cargo hauler, this is merely a prototype rig and as such not fully stylized to fit to the theme of realistic looking space equipment. Unless you guys feel like it fits right in then I'll include it to the collection that has the rest of my recent stuff like Mule, Ranger and Aurora...

To use:
Paste and add drill, you may have to dig a tiny bit to make it fit (this is why it's not included, it clips into ground and turns parts into static)
Turn drill on and trigger "Starter" timer. That's it!
To stop:
Open terminal and select all timers and stop them. let the machine finish its operations. Restart with starter

To build:
Weld base as usual.
Add X-axis piston, name this Piston X for ease of timing and set velocity to 0, set minimum dist to 1m or so.
Add Y-axis piston, name this Piston Y for ease of timing and set velocity to 0
Add drill and leave it on, read below

To config timers for n-number of pistons:
Nudge X1 is start of lateral movement: Add Piston X increase velocity
Nudge X2 is end of lateral movement: Add Piston X decrease velocity
Nudge Y1 is start of X axis reset and vertical movement: Add Piston Y increase velocity and Piston X decrease velocity
Nudge Y2 is end of vertical movement: Add Piston Y decrease velocity
Reset X is end of X axis reset: Add Piston X increase velocity

Don't mess with rest of the timers.

You can add n-amount of pistons in any axis this way just adding them to previous, such as piston X2 and so on. Just be sure that only 1 per axis is performing nudges as too deep cuts can result in mistiming if the drill gets hung up on terrain.

950-ish PCU
72 blocks

Hope you enjoy :)

Doesn't work like it claims. After the first sweep it immediately tries to lower with out even trying to go back to the "start" position. This causes the drill drills to get hung up and push so hard against the terrain it breaks the piston head. I have pasted in 10 of these in a survival world with admin controls and every single one has snapped off the drill before the second complete sweep. Down voted.

Appears to be broken now, the drill no longer spawns with it

I also start with two horizontal pistons from the get go, because doing a full sweep with 1 directional piston each (both up and down), and then adding a horizontal pistons after, really screws up things, and also requires you to redo timers anyway. Starting with 2 saves you a ton of time.

The setup guide is helpful, but it's best to just do your own timers. It'll require you using a stopwatch to see how fast your drill goes from side to the other. Best to allow it to do at least two sweeps before you have the Pistons extend. Personally, I have the horizontal pistons swing max first before allowing the drill to increase it's vertical Pistons. That way I get a full sweep at one depth, before going to the next. This helps me avoid the drills banging into the terrain, especially if it's slightly sloped.

i get this bp in both creative an built and timers are all outta wack, Y piston will not extend, had to follow the short how to at bottom to get most of the timers to go, so it swings back and forth x does its thing but Y never moves

Managed to get it working but I've noticed some side-effects when adding multiple pistons. As the ARC gets wider, the timer blocks start going out of sync. I've increased Start Timer and X1 Timer to 1min instead of 45s to see if that helps the pistons keep up with the mining before it starts adjusting velocity.

Check this morning and it looks like the drill and Piston Y broke off. I turned off the timer blocks, waited till it all reset, removed Piston X and curved conveyer. This time I added 1 vertical conveyer tube before the curved to give the drill 1 block of height. Rebuilt/Reprogramed everything else and started it back up. Hopefully it works and doesn't break again.

Does this platform need to be elevated rather than the base at ground level? The rotor and pistons seems to be working, and the drill is "skimming" the surface making the "rock noise", but it's not mining/voxel disappearing.

Did some testing on a creative world and the angle you place the pistons initially matters. When you weld up the rotor you will notice the rotor head is not on straight. If you are standing at the button panel facing the rotor you can imagine piston x like a clock hand. To set up the pistons properly the piston needs to be placed at about 7:00. Hope this helps

@Baalrog, how do i do that? i built it in survival but can't seem to get it to work despite following the instructions.
