Description
Adding a Rig: Unfortunately this was one of my first models and as such, does not accept the standatrd rig_biped_simple. HOWEVER, if you subscribe to the Workshop Auto-Rig Script created by OMG There's a Bear in My Oatmeal, you can create one really quickly.

When building the Rig using the script the script finds most o the bones automatically, HOWEVER, there are 4 things you have to manually change.

First the boneUpperLegL and the boneUpperLegR have to be changed from DmeDag to bip_hip_L and bip_hip_R, then the Spine count has to be changed from 4 to 3 and finally, the bip_spine_0 has to be changed from bip_spine_2 to bip_spine_0. (See the picture above...)

This is the end result of the tutorial series I created explaining how to convert .XNA Files to work in SFM.

The Tutorial series consists of 15 videos (around 10 - 15 minutes each) and will be uploaded to my YouTube Channel shortly.

The videos take this model from the state of being an XNA model to a format that can be used in Blender, to Editing, texturing and Exporting Valve Source models from Blender, to converting the existing textures to VTF Format, creating the VMTs, writting a simple qc for compiling, to compiling the model and getting it into SFM.

I also show where to get the programs required and how to install them.

I have published a guide on the process of taking a XNA model through Blender to produce a model usable in SFM. The Guide can be found here

Anyway, Heeeeeerrrrreeee's Ralphy, hope you enjoy him.

The original Model was a model I found in the #XNALara gallery on the Deviant Art Website. The model was posted there as

Ralph - Wreck-It Ralph ( SASRT )
by JhonyHebert

He converted the model from SSBB for use in XNALara. The actual original model (wherever it is) was created by Nanobuds

All Credit for this work belongs to these guys.

As I said, I am not a modeller, yet. I'm still working my way through Blender and have yet to start modelling my own work. The preamble above explains how I got it into SFM.

Revison 2

I had to rename the materials for this model... My originals were TOO generic and are causing conflicts with existing models. As I didn't change the model name, if your materials go black and purple checkerboard, type Mat_realoadallmaterials in the console, that should fix it. If not, reload a new instance of ralph, drag the broken on onto the new copy to lock all the bones. In Motion editor, select the new ralph and slide the ZERO slider from left to right. That should place the new on on top of the old, now slide the playhead to pick up any animations. UNLOCK the bones and then delete the old Ralph.

Revison 3

Added Limited Facial Animations

Revision 4

Added individual lid closers
Added Pose-able eyes.

They rendered the hair seperately... So it would be impossible to use the same technique.

What version of the auto-rig did you use? I'm showing v1.5 in the picture above.

I did try that yesterday but all the bones went all over the place but I will try again now

Added the process on how to rig this in the description and there is now a picture showing the things that need to be changed when using the script.

Sorry no, it does not accept Rig_Biped_Simple, however If you sub the Auto-rigger v1.5 by OMG There's a Bear in my Oatmeal you can build one really quickly. The Script finds most of the bones automatically but, you'll have to change the boneLegUpper control from DmeDag to bip_hip_L and bip_hip_R or you'll end up with a bad rig.
