When I try to re-enter, it starts flipping like crazy, and only stops once it's going tail first, problem is, once I'm trough the atmosphere, it ONLY goes tail first, any attempt to get going prograde is met with it rolling like crazy

Yeah, shuttles especially with SRBs are very unstable. Great job, still!

It's a fairly unstable craft nut you should have more than enough fuel to get to orbit.
