Era - 1990s / Early 2000s - ECW/WWF/WCW

Terry Funk could have retired in the early 1990s with a sterling legacy, but that's never been his way. By 1994, Funk joined up with Eastern Championship Wrestling, and like ECW itself, was shifting his style to an even wilder, more violent approach. He won the ECW title in 1997, and lost it to Sabu in a horrific barbed wire match. Later in the year, Funk retired, and yet again resurfaced, this time in the WWF, feuding with and teaming with his old foe Cactus Jack, taking the Chainsaw Charlie persona, wielding a (beltless) chainsaw in his entrance and winning the WWF Tag Titles for a short time.

1998 found Funk back in ECW, where he remained until 2000, where he again un-retired, winning the WCW Hardcore and the US Title multiple times as well as serving as a commissioner.
