Generic name, I know (And that file size though. Didn't expect that ♥♥♥♥ to happen).

And about time I give a ♥♥♥♥ about Mac users for my maps. This one is, of course, treeless. I am not going to do the whole Desert Strike thing, where I recreated the trees from the ground up, because that would be time consuming, plus to that map's credit, it was small, and the trees were scattered. This one is clustered, and I feel that performance would drop immensely because of it, so I am not going to do that on this one. Plus, I don't want to remake the trees from the ground up from now on, because I am lazy, so I apologize for the disappointment. I am, however, going to make the Mac versions of maps that I still have in my files, like the Gulf of Oman remake, but others like the ones before that one (save for Quang Tri) I cannot do, because I deleted the files for all those maps.

NOTE: Someone in the comments told me that VIPmods had stopped posting ♥♥♥♥ (Good for us). I will take down the VIPmods suck ♥♥♥♥ on the map when I have time to do that.

This is my debut map from the break I had, because I was tired as ♥♥♥♥ of the performance on most of my maps being garbage. In the maps coming up, including this one, there will be this Desert Strike feel to the maps, where they are smaller than some that I have done, but the performance would be way better than usual. I hope to keep that consistent with my upcoming maps (which I have a few ideas of in my head).

Fun Fact: I finished up this map within a day, and is the quickest time I got done a map. I pretty much had it planned out by the time I got started working on it (except I added in the part of the bigger island with the northeastern most control point, and also made the initial spawns available to be captureable to the AI).

Description:

Death Island is a kind of medium sized, World War 2, Pacific themed island map that is a small fictional battle in the Pacific, where it pits the USMC at a beach, while the IJN has control of a village on the other side of the island. Filled with lush forests, dirt roads, and a few points of interest, the USMC and IJN must work together through the jungle using the terrain, as well as their land and sea vehicles in order to flank each other, and attempt to take over the island.

Mission Briefings:

USMC: On our way to take Okinawa, one of our naval fleets that contained reinforcements had encountered multiple Japanese carriers, in which those carriers had proceeded to take out most of our ships, but luckily for us, we had damaged most of their ships during the surprise attack, and there were multiple boats from our carriers that had fled east to an unknown island, where they had landed a few days later. With the forces we have currently in that island, they have to search for resources, and also defend themselves if someone were to attack them. We don't know who else are located on this island, or where they are at. Our forces on the island must move through it, and attempt to survive before help arrives.

IJN: Multiple enemy boats had been spotted fleeing to a small island that had been abandoned by us. We must send out a few of our own men to take out the remaining force, given we are losing some of our best ships, it is crucial that we must conserve our soldiers wisely. Prevent the enemy force from taking the island, or we will be pushed back, and run into the firm belief that the island would be used as a launch off point to invade Okinawa.

I decided to make this map, because I felt inspired by an official map that SteelRaven had made, Island, and thought of using the same concept, but making it World War 2 themed, and have it be a different layout. I will still be using 3D shapes Unity has as parts of buildings, because I got turned off by the complexity that Blender has for me (though if I have enough confidence, I might as well attempt to do that again).

Message to Mac users who are still facing pink:

Let me know if you stumble across some problems with pink ♥♥♥♥ while running Mac versions for my maps, and not report me, because I am active on fixing problems in Mac versions for my maps, save for maps up until the Gulf of Oman remake (except for Quang Tri, somehow, though that version I am probably going to optimize the best I can), because I removed the files for those maps. I want you all to note that I have a Windows operating system, and I cannot see what you all see on the Mac version. Just want to point that out.

♥♥♥♥ you for stealing my mods, as well as steal everyone else’s mods, and making a profit off them, as well as the manchildren who didn’t even bother to pay 15 dollars to play this game, and download our mods from this site. You are nothing but degenerate trash that not only want to destroy a devoted creator through not paying for the game at all, but profit off our work. I will have you know that I, as well as many others in the Ravenfield modding community are displeased, ♥♥♥♥♥♥, and offended at you for what you had done. You are the scum that refuses to be remorseful of your actions. And on a related note, you really want my maps, don’t you? You really want to get that sweet, sweet money, as well as others who didn’t buy the game by pirating this map? Well, guess what, loser? I had enough of you pirating my maps, so I recently decided to go on the offensive, and desperately rip you a new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ by talking ♥♥♥♥ about you so you won’t upload them, and also have text on the map saying that you suck. See how you like that for a change, loser. I hope your site crashes and burns, and you pieces of ♥♥♥♥ who install our mods from that site or from any other illegal website for that matter get arrested.
