This mod simply changes the VSS Vintorez's used skill and requirements from Automatic Weapons to Rifles and Shotguns, because the VSS Vintorez is a sniper rifle.

Это не автоматическое оружие, это снайперская винтовка малой дальности, минусы конструкторов в том, что они не нашли подходящий под нее патрон или не изобрели, оставили валовский, ей бы патрон на 1500 - 2000м макс. цены бы ей не было. Аналогов этой винтовки до сих пор в мире не существует.

Вы ребята, неправильно разделяете мнение автора, винторез - это снайперская винтовка спецназначения, малая дальность - да, очередями с нее не стреляют - да, эффективность бронепробития на своей дистанции на пятерку, В руках мастера такая винтовка может уничтожить целое подразделение противника до того как враг поймет откуда вообще ведется огонь.

Seeing as the game considers the ammunition as rifle rounds, and the description of the AS Val calls the Vintorez a sniper rifle, I'm not sure why they set them as automatic weapons.

VSS is more of a "heavy submachinegun" - large caliber and low accuracy (MOA) made it not unuseful for long-range sniping. So it is an automatic assault rifle for short-range fights. And difference from AS VAL is technical 30 shots per minute (930 versus 960, if I not wrong) and the folding stock of AS VAL..

The damn VSS in Vintorez literally means Special sniper rifle. What do you mean it's not a sniper rifle? Whereas the AS in AS VAL means Special automatic.

The VSS means special sniper rifle. Accurate rifle with limited usage for very specific tasks, it was never intended to use full auto mode on regular basis.

The VSS Vintorez is a sub-sonic 9x39 Assault Rifle with a internal suppressor. It has a short range, and if you wanna call it a sniper rifle- The best thing your getting is scouting, and that's with a PSO scope. If you ever tried to snipe someone with a VSS, you'd quickly learn that it doesn't work.
