From Fleet Standard, the TS7.1 Aldrin-Class Surveyor is a transatmospheric lift vehicle designed for reconnaissance, exploration, and infil/exfil operations in hostile environments. Thanks to its suite of large hydrogen, ion, and atmospheric thrusters, a TS7.1 can take a research or recon team from space to planetside and back in a matter of minutes. The Aldrin's heavy armor casing not only lets the vessel shrug off hits in a firefight, but also dramatically increases survivability in the event of an accident or crash landing.
