CoinDesk shut down their free API, so this addon now uses a configured Bitcoin value. If you had this addon installed on your server prior to February 15, 2025, you will need to delete the config file at data/sweptthrone_addons/stbitmining2.txt to let the addon generate a new file with the Bitcoin value field. If you made changes to your config file, you can back it up and replace the values in the new file, but you still need to let the addon generate a new config file.

STBitMining 2 is an addon with the intent of encouraging actual roleplay in DarkRP.

To start mining Bitcoin, simply buy any one of the new ST models of BitMiners and you're good to go! Give it some time, and withdraw the mined Bitcoin to your wallet whenever you want. Then, when you're ready, either hold on to your Bitcoin or list some on the server's market!

The market works (almost) like a real market would, as in you can list Bitcoin at the current price, and anyone can buy it for that amount of money at any time. You can also cancel listings at any time if you wish. If you decide to purchase Bitcoin, it's added to your wallet and your money spent. If the person you bought the Bitcoin from is offline, they'll still get the money once they come online.

Times and amounts can be configured through the .txt file generated in data/sweptthrone_addons.

Disclaimers and Issues Section
This addon requires player-to-player interaction in order for any player to make money from it. This is not an automated system, as this was created with the intent to add roleplay back to DarkRP.
This addon does not influence the Bitcoin market at all. That would be ridiculous, and although it's unrealistic for it to work like this, it's better than relying on players of a server for 100% of the market's activity.
There are some floating-point precision errors when purchasing Bitcoin. It's possible that you will pay $1 more or less than what is listed on the market. We are working to resolve this issue.
For the same reason, it is also possible for low amounts to be listed for $0.
This addon is incompatible with my other Bitcoin addon, STBitMiners. Only use one at a time.

Note that this addon may not work perfectly, as it has been a bit since I've done GLua coding. If anything goes wrong, that means script errors, incorrect calculations, or anything else, leave it in a comment below.
