Description
Bob Backlund returned to the WWF in 1992 after being semi-retired for a number of years. Backlund demanded to be addressed as Mr. Backlund and claimed he never truly lost the WWF Championship against The Iron Sheik in 1984.

Backlund received a WWF Championship submission match against Bret Hart at Survivor Series in 1994, and after Bret's brother and rival Owen Hart took out Bret's corner man Davey Boy Smith, Owen convinced his mother to throw in the towel for Bret. Backlund became WWF Champion once more, although is reign only lasted a few days. Backlund was defeated by Diesel in 8 seconds at a house show at Madison Square Garden 3 days after winning the title from Hart.
