Description
IMPORTANT NOTICE:

THIS VEHICLE IS USING A SCRIPT TO DRIVE
YOU NEED TO HAVE SCRIPTS ENABLED IN GAME
THE DAS - Driver Assisting System SCRIPT by Wanderer_308
THAT COMES WITH THIS ATV SHOULD BE COMPILED AND RUNNING

IF IT DOESN'T -- THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT THIS ATV WILL WORK AS IT SHOULD
AND YOU'LL NEED TO CONFIGURE WHEEL SUSPENSIONS BY YOURSELF

------
Kamba All Terrain Vehicle Model C

Kamba means tortoise in Chewa language.

But that doesn't mean she is slow. You can deliver all your ores and stuff in no time!
With capacity of six large cargo containers this beast can run 120 km/h or faster if you tweak her Driver Assisting System.

And take your friends with you! You don't want to mine all that ore alone, do you?

Not a driver? Travel with your friends in comfort of the cryopod!

Just THINK of that!

You don't have to shake on that wobbly half built oddly placed seat anymore!
You can even open your helmet and scratch your nose for God's sake!

Kamba. Supporting the World. Supporting you.

Kamba ATVs also available in models H, Jr and E.

Whithout it it wouldn't be that fun and easy.

Three great scripts that keeps this thing running:

Decorative Pack is mandatory for industrial cockpit
https://steamhost.cn/app/1049790/Space_Engineers__Decorative_Pack/
But still you can place there a regular cockpit instead.
It was not intended to look that way though.

Style Pack is eligible for carbon fiber armor elements but not mandatory

This ATV comes without mods. It is recommended though to replace vanilla alarm sound in the Back-up beeper sound block with Truck Reversing Beeping from Alarms/Sirens and More Sounds Mod Pack by SEModder04™

@Yuki Hanabi well DAS script is a bit outdated. I don’t know if it is still working or not. You can disable it and tune the wheels manually. Sorry for the inconvenience. I’m glad that you like the design!

It seems to not want to climb any hills with full cargo, crawling up at 1 m/s is a bit of a pain. is this due to the script limiting wheel power? visually it looks like the back wheels are grinding against eachother as well, dont know if that has a real effect on the driving or not. I do love the design though!

@D.Simmons, thanks! You can add some vertical thrusters -- atmospheric or ion -- to force it down to the ground. DAS script will handle them well.

the kamba a great vehicle, but im having issues with it bucking the back end up when the terrain changes any known way to fix it?
gar_krol  [author] 9 Sep, 2019 @ 1:55pm
@ratheden, thank you for your kind words! True joy was to find the Driver Assisting System by Wanderer_308, so all the credit for smooth driving goes to him ))

And while I'm away you can try to modify this Kamba a bit to dock the flying vessels with bottom connector. At least this could be a temporary solution. There are two conveyor junctions one on top of another behind the Kamba's rear connector. So if you remove some armor from the top you can place there a top facing connector with some expansion if needed. It won't be pretty though...

Bottom Connector, and another miner with a side connector, none with a top. The Cargo Kamba is a true joy to drive, Thanks for the work you put into making it.

@ratheden, thank you! I guess I could do that. But in a few days or a week maybe. I'm going away today and don't know how soon I'd come back. Still, do you have rear or bottom connector placement on your miner?
ratheden 8 Sep, 2019 @ 7:09pm
These are just plain awesome.
Any chance you could make a flatbed one out of the cargo model? I would love to have this as a hauler for my atmospheric miner. and as a flatbed, I could modify the flatbed part to suit the needs of the moment..

Again, AWESOME job, these are just great

@AlexB240303, great idea! And thanks! I'm glad you like this little family ;)

I'm currently making an unofficial kamba mobile base. Its on a large grid with the big 5x5 wheels. things gonna be massive. it will allow all of the kamba family to be driven up underneath it, and the base will pick them up and dock them on its underside. I think itll be cool when it's finished and ill post the link here. Mad props to you man-- these things are awesome!
