Asteria Cruiser Mod

Description
After sustaining heavy damage in a pirate action, Ari Industries decided on rebuilding the Asteria Destroyer hull with additional strength where possible and adding additional weaponry for defensive purposes essentially changing it to a cruiser class.

Due to the additional armour upgrades, little space was left over for crew comforts. Additional armour belts were added along the bow, mid and aft sections as well as on the top fordeck.

A full compliment of CV weaponry was added to the existing compliment to provide additional protection

2 x Artillery
10 x Cannon
4 x Flak
2 x Minigun
9 x Plasma
6 x Rocket
4 x Sentry Gun


Harvesting equipment was added for longer range voyages and reclamation of spare parts found. This consists of
1 x Harvest Controller with 32kSU capacity
1 x Drill turret
1 x Multi turret

Reverse thrust was moved from the front of the vessel to the aft wing emplacements where 2 XL thrusters were placed.

The ship still features a full med bay, 6 grow plots, kitchenette, bunks, armor lockers, wifi and an advanced constructor with a single container controller providing a max volume capacity of 200kSU

Two Ammo bays allow for 216kSU per bay.

There is sufficient power for 30 hours of standby time with shields functional, thrusters operation at rest and weapons operational. If RCS and Thrusters are turned off the standby time increases to 52 hours.

Empyrion 1.8 has released and I've taken another look at this CV and updated it for 1.8. Please take a look and leave some comments on the rebuild.

Good morning. With 1.7 dropping and me playing mostly in RE on Unknown Skies I've decided to revisit this build and update it. The updated version has been lengthened to add more weapons, a fully revamped interior, additional thrusters, along with two constructors and a deconstructor. You may need to remove the Long-Range Radar if you don't have the materials to spawn it in.


I don't like overwriting blueprints that have subscribers, so I'll leave this link for you for the updated CV.

awsome thank you... i normaly change loadouts to suit my needs etherway hehe.. some ships dont need it tho cause they awsome :P

It's playable in RE 1.5. I would personally change the weapon load out to suit play style with more laser weapons to take out shields quickly and more missles/plasma turrets.

@krazywulf There's no reason why it shouldn't be viable in RE. I'll take a look at it in RE 1.5 and see.

If you look in my workshop there's a couple of rebuilds that are designed for RE
