HELL IN THE BACKYARD

Part Two
Decades of hard work in political, military, and industrial sectors truly came to fruition for Brazil at the turn of the century. The authoritarian Brazilian government unlocked the potential of most of South America, previously squandered by years of mismanagement, greed, and incompetence at the hands of their previous governments. South America blossomed economically, as American investments slowly created a major world-renowned power. Farming, automotive and other civil industries swelled and grew in power and prestige, and Brazil's military followed to become one of the most powerful and professional in the world.
Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador are the last sovereign countries in South America not controlled by the Brazilian state, although the prowess and influence of their huge neighbor has still affected all three. Colombia fared the best, being a close ally of the United States by ridding itself of the Communist menace back in the fifties and maintaining several treaties with America and Brazil. Ecuador pledged a non-alliance/neutrality pact with all the major players around and was soon known as "South America's Switzerland", also taking part in agreements with its neighbors, mostly trade and science based. Venezuela would unfortunately suffer a different, more negative faith than her sister countries. Blessed with huge oil reserves, Venezuela's importance to the hemisphere's economy could not be understated. Quietly observing her neighbors slowly absorbed by Brazil, Venezuela's leadership saw the danger in the road ahead and took every possible step to avoid the same fate. The result was a similarly autocratic government as seen in Brazil, with an impressively thorough police state underneath. The result created a difficult situation for Brazil, as Venezuela's unforgiving spy and police network rooted out multiple coup and insurgency attempts, and there was no political capital to simply take the country by force; Venezuela had a well-funded and trained military, and a war between two "western non-communist states", for lack of a better title, was an embarrassment that the US would not condone. Venezuela freely and openly drafted deals and agreements with her neighbors for oil and power, and so for the rest of the 20th century, she was left to her own devises as Brazil swallowed the rest of the continent.
A slow decline in the quality of Venezuela’s leadership, a festering political culture of greed and corruption, and decades of incredible wealth brought by her natural and mineral resources slowly pushed Venezuela down. Her current government was totalitarian in all but name, and resource mismanagement and ineptitude rotted the once great country from the inside, while her party leadership grew fat and wealthy from stolen profits and unchecked power. In this, Brazil saw an opportunity; the vast oil fields previously unattainable were up for grabs once again, and Brazil began to prepare to return to finally remove the last thorn in her side and gain a massive plot of land and resources.
Its been 48 hours sicne the start of hostilities, and American and Colombian forces are on high alert and at the ready to defend Colombia from a possible land invasion. Though unmatched at sea, the US has been unable to move enough ground forces to properly defend her ally, and the situation grows worse by the hour...

Yeah in order for the blackhawks to make it they need to stop at the heliport checkpoint halfway between the airbases. Thank you for playing these, though, I hope you're enjoying them!

Managed a triumph. Struggled to reinforce Alfredo base as so faraway. The only actual issue with that is the Blackhawks don't make it to their next base and you count the lost points
