Jesse Ventura

Jesse "The Body" Ventura is a WWE Hall of Famer who served previously as the Governor of Minnesota and has appeared in multiple films.

Ventura adopted a gimmick similar to "Superstar" Billy Graham in the 70's, and spent much of the decade working for NWA territories before moving to the AWA in 1979. Ventura and Mad Dog Vachon won the AWA World Tag Team Championship in 1980, then moved to the WWF after losing the belts.

Ventura became a singles wrestler in the WWF, and fell short of winning the WWF World Heavyweight Championship before needing to retire due to blood clots in his lungs in 1984. Ventura did make several comebacks, but mostly transitioned into a commentary role after first retiring.
