About the Age of Empires III Packs
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This pack contains a number of assets, mostly embellishments, from Age of Empires III. The pack includes quite a few home city assets which aren't even available in the AoE3 editor.

The buildings in AoE3 use fragmentation death animations which exceed the technical limitations of AoM. Therefore, the building death animations have been replaced with AoM's simple 'sink into ground' animations. The buildings have not been hooked up to work with any other proto objects.

As with all UMC packs, these units are only acessible through the editor. This mod does not alter any original game files. It only adds these units.

Editor Prefix: *AOE
ProtoID Range: 1,100,000 series

I would love to see that as well. But to be honest with you guys, I don't have time to port the entire game by myself. This is why I want to teach people so this can become more of a community effort. It's quite easy to learn, it's just a lot of repetitive work.

I had a fantasy about creating a Mesoamerican civ for aom. Created some code for it too. If you did port aztec/maya/inca content that would be great!

@Callistonian oh okay thank you for the answer and your time! ^^

@Corruption - Short answer: yes.

Long answer: There have been quite a few discussions about this. You can probably find one or two here on Steam. Iirc, there is some complication with the build animations which is more than just the fact that the regular wall construction models are too small. There is also the problem that the wall segments themselves are too long so it looks funny (only the functionality of the regular wall can be used for any new walls).

Short question is it possible to make the trojan wall buildable? :) I just love the design of it

Anyone who is interested in learning, send me a friend request (if we're not already friends) and follow it up with a DM. Also, read section 5.2 of this guide http://aom.heavengames.com/downloads/showfile.php?fileid=11367 It explains the tools and methods we will be using.

I am interested, and I have the AOE III steam version. But I don't have a working 3D program.

Oh yeah I was referring to the AoE3 Roman/Greek mod that never got finished that we talked about. But yeah I'd be interested in learning how to port units from AoE3 over to this game, but I'm gonna be busy with work this week so might have some free time next one, I hope.

I don't recall saying that. I definitely want to port the units but it's a question of whether or not I can find the time. I could definitely use help so if anyone is interested I will teach you everything you need to know to start porting aoe3 assets.

Niiice dude, I know you said there's no point in porting units but I think LightningStorm can use the muskteer unit. Keep up the good work.
