Description
"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff got his start working for Mid-Southern Wrestling in the mid-70's and defeated Jerry Lawler for the company's top title in 1977. Orndorff working for several other NWA territories until signing with the WWF in 1983.

Orndorff was associated with Roddy Piper early on during his time with WWF, and the duo main evented the first WrestleMania against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T. Orndorff would turn face not long after and feuded with Piper and Bob Orton alongside Hogan. Eventually, Orndorff grew frustrated with his staus under Hogan and turned on him, leading to a feud between the two stars. He continued working heel until late in his WWF run, and retired for the first time in 1988 due to injury.

Mr. Wonderful resurfaced a few years later at Clash of the Champions XI, and eventually was part of the WCW roster for a few years. In WCW, Orndorff had a run with the WCW Television Title and teamed with Paul Roma as Pretty Wonderful.

Orndorff mostly retired from in-ring competition in 1995 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
