Open Ranges

Description
Empty grass and plains tiles receive +1 Food if they are adjacent to a Pasture. Empty means no improvements or features (or districts), but roads do not count. Mountains receive the bonus as well if you can work them.

Simulates transhumance and a nomadic lifestyle where the open prairies are used by nearby herds to ranch, instead of being confined to their own tile. Helps with growth when you have better things to do with your builder charges than build farms.

This mod is part of a small series aiming to enhance the early game with simple tweaks which make working the land early on more exciting even with very few improvements built. Entries in the series so far:

Love it. Reminds me of the Pastoral civic from Civ4

I think this might need some sort of buff to outback stations for balance. Perhaps outback stations could be an exception to the “empty” requirement.

Sorry for bothering you, but is your mod compatible with this one:
Radiant Mountains and Deers by Kimu?

Hi, I like the idea of this mod! But I think it might be incompatible with "Better Desert, Snow, and Tundra Tiles". Do you think so?

Works like a charm! Thank you! :)

@kentsune: sorry for the delay, forgot about this. Update is live, let me know if you can use it now without GS.

Thank you! Very cool! :)

@kentsune: thanks for the find. Looks like that requirement is part of GS. The requirement *type* is available in all versions, however, so I can make a custom version. Will upload a fix later tonight.

I get this errormessage. I'm guessing it is from one of the expansions?
