Caproni (updated)

Description
"A Love-Letter to Italian Raceplanes" - a fictional reviewer

Fast, sensitive, unarmed. Comes with four liveries and all she asks in return is gentle - but firm - handling, some love, and lots of courage. With a cherry of luck on top.

Not VR friendly, apologies

- update 4th August 2019: fixed texture filtering issue
- update 5th August 2019: updated cockpit textures and camera position

That cockpit has me actually using it! Great work <3

edit: yeah it seams i have to start with one ship first on the track and then go escape - change course/ship to select caproni craft, any1 else having the issue?

i played dolphin in vr and it works pretty well. only thing is that the bars that seperate the cockpit could have some little extra in terms of design to make it more elegant...and mebe windows..i dont know if there is windows or not because i had to play it with all effects turned off.

so functually dolphin works in vr (well) but designwise i wouldnt mind little addition.
however on this computer with my old headset the game doesnt run well anyway so i stick to flat atm.
yeah i will see how far i get in terms of speed but playing dragmode on toxic seams reasonable with these crafts.

i think boths crafts deliver what name or design or description implies but with dolphin i believe it´s most fun on the bumpy, jumpy tracks and i really just started discovering workshop content. in

Yeah, I did, but I never really got any good at the higher game speeds, so when designing this one (mechanics-wise), I was really just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks - with no way to playtest it myself. On the casual modes it's definitely at a huge disadvantage compared to the other crafts, which strike me as a lot easier to handle, but that might be just me.
Oh, I should warn you that neither of them ships is VR compatible - it was only afterwards that I realized how to make cockpits work in VR and I was much too lazy to fix it, as it would mean doing them all over. Apologies about that!

haha. yeah i could actually retest. it appears something might wrong with the other controller ...now i use some wrapper thing so i can use my oculoose touch controllers which are really nice. its very different now and i could play both bikes well. caproni feels more elegant but designs are pretty. so yeah ..cockpit in dolphin looks a bit like handemade pixelart. do you make both the physics setup and the design?

You actually checked the other one! And you spoke of it nicely! Thank you, you're my favorite person now :te_hand:

i dig the airbreak controls ... the tight corners are really fun with this one and dolphin...especially caproni can swing really nice from one to another. i do have problems with the less tight corners with both crafts. today i want to compare with the death anchor craft i got and also that japanese hoverbike. maybe it was no good idea to eliminate the deadzones.gonna recheck on that one..wipout on 64 lol wasnt too difficult

@Cheshire Cat - Didn't know that! I used it in reference to Count Caproni
@Marius_Mustang - Glad you like it! I'll keep that in mind if I make another one, but I think I want to take a break now, this was a massive pain in the ass :benny:

Caproni literally means "bucks".
