Disclaimer: I published this map just for testing right now. At the moment, the game crashes when trying to start this map (at least on my pc). If this happens on your system as well, or if you have any ideas how to fix it (except of decreasing the maps sice), please tell me.


On the 10. Juli 1943 allied forces landed on the Italian Island of Sicily. After beating the Axis in Africa Britain and the US wanted to bring ground troops on Nazi soil for the first time in the war. The first major allied landing operation to take control of sicily was codenamed operation husky.

Due to good counterintelligence operations axis forces were nearly unprepared. And even though armored vehicles struggled to support the infantry in the initial landings, the coastal fortifications were soon overcome. When the allied forces secured their beachheads and prepared the next step of the assault a german armored column arrived from a nearby airfield to drive the british and americans back into the sea.

Regarding this map

This is the largest map I've ever made. I worked on it piece by piece over the entire last year. that's why design choices and the level of quality might be inconsitent.

It's the first map where I reached the max amount of objects. It's very, very large, maybe to large for a 4 vs 4. Feel free to take parts of this map and make single, smaller maps. I'm also looking forward to create an Coop scenario from the initial landings to the capture of the airfield, but this is not to come soon.

I hope you enjoy it and I can't wait to see what the incredable modding community of CoH 2 will make with my map.
